Being from Lynchburg and having WDRL on my cable line-up I have received some inquiries about the recent airing of the W&L BC game.  I talked to Rowdy's Dad and they asked that I try and get copies of the game as well as a copy of the BC vs. HSC game earlier this year.  WDRL covered both games and did a great job.  I actually saw the tape delay of Saturday's game which was fun to watch since I missed the entire second half by spending it out in the parking lot listening to it on the radio.

I digress though, I did call and speak to Mr. David Ross and asked him about the possibility of getting copies (VCR format) and he stated he would accommodate that.  If anyone was interested in obtaining copies I'd suggest that you e-mail Mr. Ross and his co-worker Tammy Taylor at the following e-mail addresses.  He can then work out the details on an individual basis.  Those e-mail addresses are as follows:

David Ross:  sales@wdrl-tv.com
Tammy Taylor: tammy@wdrl-tv.com

Cost per VHS tape: around $20.

Yes the CUA game was 35-21 last year, and i dont know where well be playing sat, but i wouldnt mind playing on the turf at Howard.  Upon seeing the results of their game last week made me really aware of the fact that neither game is going to be the least be easy and made the whole team ready to play that much harder.

Jon, yeah, I felt E&H wouldn't go winless this year, so the win at CUA was only a mild surprise to me.  E&H (& CUA) both have great traditions & don't take losing lightly.  If you guys didn't already have enough incentive, that was the extra you needed.

Say hello to all the Hayesville boys (Baker, Cook & both Ledfords).  My nephew graduated with #2 & #28 and was on Hayesville's 2004 NCHSAA 1A b-ball championship team with Taylor & Desmond.   Don't know if you guys realize how many Hayesville folks drive down for every game, but it's a bunch - and that's about a 4-hour drive one way.  If you hear the air horns, it's probably someone from Clay County.  lol

Tell them Joseph's Montreat College basketball team will play at UNC-G on Jan. 11, ASU on Jan. 14 & at Elon on Jan. 18.  They should come by & watch him play.

Keep up the good work!

He went to BC for a couple years but didn't graduate.

Shoot, why get your degree when you can win 117k in a weekend?  :o

Congratulations to GC's Josh Vogelbach for being named the ODAC offensive player of the week for his 5 TD game vs RMC.  This goes nicely with GC WR Chris Barnette's ODAC award & d3football Team of the Week honor against W&L.

I could honestly have also seen it going to J.D. Ricca for his 7 - count 'em 7 - TDs vs Dickinson, which is a new ODAC single-game record.  Ricca is a great player & is setting the bar pretty high for those chasing his records.

Congratulations also to BC's Deon Mays for the Defensive POW honor.  Three INTs & a blocked PAT run back for a 2-point score - are you kidding me?  Great players step up in BIG games ...

BTW, Vogelbach is mentioned in this week's Statistical Spotlight on page 1 of d3football.com.

Go Quakers!

GenerallyTim, don't worry about it.  They have pictures of fries and burgers on the cash registers at Mickey D's now for all the college grads who were too busy watching football games instead of realizing their school had a library.  Only kidding ... please send all letters to: Complaint Department, Black Hole, Podunk, USA   lol

Congrats on the great win Saturday BC! Back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back ODAC Champs!!!! There's an awesome picture of Blackwell on Kid's sight that sums Saturday's win for us BC fans!

I also noticed the K.C. on Blackwell's helmet...in rememberance of 11 year old honorary football player, Kelly Coffman who passed away last week. Kelly was such a sweet boy and he will be greatly missed!

Fortunately I am well off enough with my non-spelling lifestyle that I never have to worry about interviewing with any lawyer type to put food on my table. I chose a profession that supports me and my football habit. I let the computer age do all my written work for me. Thank gosh I have you guys to try to teach me how to spell. I'm sure my life wouldn't be complete without it! ::)

Norton, why yes, we do!  Thanks for asking.

... and I always thought one of the (admirable) things about DIII was its emphasis on the Scholar/Athlete and Scholar/Fan, not the other way around.  I stand corrected - perhaps this is not true at all DIII member institutions.  If you think spelling and punctuation don't matter, consider the following sentences:

The panda eats shoots and leaves.
The panda eats, shoots and leaves.

If you're lucky, you'll run into the first bear at the zoo and not the second bear at the East Lexington Market!  lol

What is the significance of that Jeremybozz?  Im lost by that report.

Hasanova, Ill make sure to tell all the boys hey for you.  We definatley see the crowd from Hayesville and hear the air horns every week lol.  I hear from the coaches we wont be playing at Howard because they have a home game this sat.  It is possible we could play at Georgetown, or maybe a night game at Howard, but it is unlikely that CUA's field will be ready to play on.  Thats just hear say so we could end up anywhere.  Maybe we'll get lucky and the Redskins will let us play there lol.
