Hasanova, Ill make sure to tell all the boys hey for you.  We definatley see the crowd from Hayesville and hear the air horns every week lol.  I hear from the coaches we wont be playing at Howard because they have a home game this sat.  It is possible we could play at Georgetown, or maybe a night game at Howard, but it is unlikely that CUA's field will be ready to play on.  Thats just hear say so we could end up anywhere.  Maybe we'll get lucky and the Redskins will let us play there lol.

GCOL,
Consider yourself lucky to have the game moved. BC played their last ODAC game up there last year and the field was awful. It had more potholes than the PA Turnpike. It sure will be nice to play them on fieldturf next year.

What is the significance of that Jeremybozz?  Im lost by that report.

Hahahaha, wow, your post was exactly my thought!

But I think we should prepare ourselves for 90% Bridgewater-related posts and 10% hasanova & GCOL getting-to-know-eachother posts the rest of the season.

BC scrimmages Hargrave each August and I just thought it was interesting that they are 3-6 when they put out all the press releases that said they have 17 players who have signed to play in Division 1-A.

for a peek at a future NFL starter, check out WR #5 vidal hazelton from hargrave in their scrimmage against bridgewater on friday.

Yeah, I wrote about him in my little blurp on my web site:

"Hargrave has 55 players, 17 of whom have already signed letters of intent to play at Division I-A schools next season.  The average size of Hargrave's nine offensive linemen is 6-foot-4, 304 pounds, while their six defensive linemen average 6-foot-3, 283 pounds.  The Eagles will particularly have their hands full with Vidal Hazelton.  The 6-3, 200-pound wide receiver from Staten Island, N.Y., is ranked as the 20th-best player (second amoung receivers) in the class of 2006 in the nation by Rivals.com.  Hazelton - who ran the 40 in 4.47 - will likely sign with Florida."
They have improved recently. Back to the Bridgewater Eagles. Congrats to Deon Mays.

Naw Kid, basketball season starts soon and that is where 98% of hasanova's posts have been tallied. As soon as roundball season begins he will be gone while BC and 31 other teams fight it out for a Stagg Bowl appearance. Remember that the BC basketball following usually doesn't start until December.

i saw an earlier post about possible playoff scenarios, but I was wondering if there is a definite scenario as of now?  Is it basically between Ferrum and BC right now for a home game?  If we win out and Ferrum loses to CNU are we pretty much guaranteed a home game?  Even if Ferrum beats CNU could we still get a home game?  Anybody got any answers?  lol

Good news for all BC fans/students:  I just heard through the grapevine that the BC computer lab just got a shipment of Hooked on Phonics tapes.  However, even without the tapes, all BC fans can spell "quite", as in:  We at Bridgewater do real good at making it to the d3 playoffs, but we can't "quite" seem to do anything when we get there.

And before you bc apologists mention it, I am aware that you came in second a couple of years ago.  However, in the words of a famous ex-coach, "Second place is first loser."  Good luck in the playoffs.

GCOL, thanks.  If you see a red '68 Nova at the games with "you know what" on the license, then guess who it is.  That car was parked at English Hall from 1970-74.  lol  Well, I'll be checking later in the week to see where the game is played.   I still hope I have time to drive to DC.  I'm sure you guys will be ready to play no matter where the game is held.  If you play in the Redskins stadium, does that mean we can sing "Hale to the Quakers"? lol  I'm not from Hayesville (I'm originally from Mount Airy), but I got to know all those folks last year when my nephew's HS B-ball team made its run to be state champs.  They're great fans and may send you a few more HHS Yellowjackets next  year.  They LOVE their football!  I promise they will go nuts if you guys finish 5-5.  Just ask the rest of the Smoky Mountain Conference.

Nice quote.  Have you been repeating it to yourself the past several years in Tiger-ville?

Thats "quite" interesting as HSC won't even be the first loser in the ODAC this year. My how the Tigers have fallen!  :o

Oh by the way, all 8 ODAC wins in the D3-playoffs are credited to Bridgewater. But who is counting? ;)

OK, BC fans, be fair - I've said plenty of complimentary things about the Eagles too (props for Deon Mays today, as a matter of fact).  You guys have developed a great program the past 5-6 years, but I'm old enough to remember when you were at bottom of the league.   Things have a way of going in cycles and surely you can't blame the rest of us for hoping BC's run doesn't go on forever.  When BC (or any ODAC school) is in the playoffs, I root for you because you carry the ODAC banner and because you're a good school.

Any questions?  OK, who took my lone Karma point?  lol

Here is a scenario Bcsportswriter:
(taken from a previous post last week)

Although the South region seedings look a little out of wack, the NCAA has set the potential qualifiers just about the way we have been calling it.

With Salisbury at #8, and Wesley at #10, the loser this week stays home for the playoffs. Then Washington & Jefferson at #9 moves to the East bracket as the final Pool B spot.

This leaves us a solid 8 South region teams to duke it out on the field. Current first round senario would play out as follows based of rankings and more importantly, geography.

Hardin-Simmons #6 @ Trinity #1
Bridgewater #5 @ Ferrum #2
Wesley #7 @ UMHB #3
Johns Hopkins #8 @ Thiel #4

A Ferrum loss, coupled with either CNU or Methodist winning the tiebreaker sends one of those to UMHB. In that scenario BC hosts Wesley;however, Wesley could jump BC in the Regional rankings this week. If BC is jumped and Ferrum wins out, BC may be the odd team out and head to UMHB. Just hope that Hopkins being closer to a major airport sends them flying. lol  This also is assuming W&J gets shipped East. As Pat mentioned, its too early to tell.
