Talked to Jake this afternoon before practice.  He said he had been cleared this morning.  He had been sympton free for several days--no headache. no nothing.  Seemed raring to go to me.  So it looks like we have 2 excellent QBs at the ready tomorrow.  The guys were in serious mode, which is a good thing because I remember all too well last year's game and the last gasp miracle play that was needed to beat Marcus's brother and other RMC players.  They outplayed us big time.  I sure hope that doesn't happen tomorrow!!  We can ill afford it if we have any aspirations for the playoffs and a decent first game.  Looking forward to Kelly's chili and Stone Station and, of course, the strawberry yummy stuff.  Too bad I have to be up at the crack of dawn as all profs have to be at the Funk to meet parents before the moon sets, around 10 am.  Way too early on a Saturday.  At least the lucky blanket will be in place in plenty of time.  Go Eagles!!  I want to wish Guilford good luck too.   I used to teach at High Point and lived right close by.  You can take those guys.  That QB of yours deserves to be Freshman of the Year!!He made me extremely nervous.  And you Tigers out there.  I feel a John Hopkins loss coming tomorrow.  Protect JD and take it to them!  The ODAC could all use a quality win against an outside opponent.  Well, it's back to the brownies for the tailgate!!

Ricca square off.  Go Quakers!

Well, Basanova, looks lie we nightowls ae the only ones up and still thinking.  Perhaps Baby Ricca can outperform Vogelbach(sp) but the GC QB had such grace under pressure, not to mention accuracy.  It's darn hard to throw accurately when you are being dragged down to the turf and he did it over, and over and over again.  It was a NIGHTMARE!!!!  When I think of the team I saw last year down at GC and the one we faced this year, what a world of difference.  Major improvement.  Of course our date with young Ricca isn't until next week and he could give me more grey hair than I already have, but if the guys stay focused, we should do OK.  You going to CUA tomorrow or what?  The neighborhood is not the best but I guess they won't be playing on the field.  I remember when we played there in the "mud bowl"  Dre hugged me at the end and I had mud from head to toe.  But hey it washed off.  Worth it to me!!Back to grading.

The Cheeks is cooking....

After a bad Cheeks performance against the water (could not match what the offense and Defense did), I am sure the CHEEKS will come out strong and dominate E&H...

Carnage and pain.

DO IT
Can you smell what the CHEEKS is cooking??

GO GENERALS....

GC 35, CUA 21 - at the half!

Vogelbach has 325 yards and four TD passes.  Micah Rushing threw the other TD for 24 yards out of the RB position.  Vogelbach has set new national records for yards in a season by a freshman (2852 so far) and is adding to his national freshman TD passing record (32 so far).  He needs three completions in the 2nd half to set a new freshman national record (he has 226 so far).

Chris Barnette has ten 1st half catches for 114 yards and three TDs.  Other GC receivers have 53, 67 and 68 yards.  Could GC have four 100-yard receivers in one game?

CUA's K. Ricca has 272 yards in the first half for one TD (96 yards) to Bublavi (I think).

Not too much rushing yardage, obviously.  GC has 35 and CUA 45.  Only 3 punts, one by GC and two by CUA.  GC has 31 yards in penalties and CUA has 95, so that has been a factor.

Stay tuned for final boxscore.  It'll be wild!  Go Quakers!

New national freshman completion record for Vogelbach (230 & counting).  Troutman at Juniata had 228.  About 26 minutes to go at CUA.
