Hasanova,
Did you go to the game?
GCOL - I'm sorry to say I didn't.  Things at work went south late yesterday and I had to take care of some issues on 2nd shift with people that work for me.  I didn't get home until almost 9 pm.  I cleaned my garage today and listened to the whole game on the radio.

I'm proud of you guys and look forward to next week versus E&H.  I have to tell you, though, the Quakers give me heart pains late in games.  49-42 and a recovered onside kick is too much!   lol

GCOL,

How many starting seniors is your team losing this year?

GCOL

We just like to keep our fans heart healthy hasanova. lol

mizzou we are losing about 7 although 3 dont start but play just as much as the starters

gcballer

Although I voted for Bubalvi in the pole I would like to note that I was very disappointed with his play... I have been reading about how good he is all year on here but today I was not impressed with the way that he runs his routes. If Bubalvi is not getting the ball he does not run AT ALL!!!!

After touching on this I would like to point out that Barnette is the real deal and plays way harder than Bubalvi. Considering this I think that Barnette is a better player because he runs all his routes whether he is getting the ball or not.

GCOL

Pat,
Did yall get any pics of our game?

Pat Coleman

Sorry, I was unable to attend today.  :-\

Jon, I should be as strong as an ox then.  lol  I was feeling pretty good when it was 49-28, but I had a bad feeling when the FG attempt was blocked.  Just chalk it up to 36 seasons of following Quaker football.  By the way, when CUA got that 96-yard TD in the first quarter, it made me think about Guilford's record.  When I was a freshman, the Quakers were playing Furman in a night game over at Grimsley and one of my dorm mates in English Hall, John Dent, caught a 99-yard TD pass.  I guess you could tie that record, but never break it.  You should see today's game statistics on CUA's website.  It's seventeen pages, I think.  lol

GCOL

Yea we had a print out of the stats sheet on the bus and i think it used a whole tree.  lol  Seems like CUA has a habit of makin come backs on us.  Im just glad D. White was able to come up with that crucial pic to end the game(no defense?).

It should be noted that Barnette tied the ODAC record with 17 catches today and I believe his 233 yards are now 3rd all-time in the ODAC.  His 87 catches for the season, 17 in a game and 233 yards in a game are all new Quaker records.  I went to school with Geoff Clark, the old season record holder with 70 catches, who graduated 2 years before me.

I must say, looking forward to next year, we got a good look at next year OL.  Our left tackle had a concussion last weekend and didn't play, but the backups rotated through out the game, 2 freshman, and played extremely well.  Note: 72 passing att, and 0 sacks.

Well, it's not that you have no defense, it's just that it isn't consistent.  I counted 3 INTs today, including that crucial one at the end.   Sometimes, you guys make three great stops and have the other team in a hole at, say, 4th and 20 and then they'll make it.  I've seen a lot of big plays this year, too, such as a few versus Greensboro, the 64 yarder versus RMC, some in the H-SC game and today with Bowman's 96-yarder.  I'm sure Kiesel will work on beefing up the defense for next year.

When I saw Barnette, I was impressed too.  He's one of the many stud WR's in the ODAC I referenced earlier.  Jack Martin (W&L) and Drew Smith (HSC) are studs too.  I'll see Bublavi next week.

gcballer, I guess Bublavi's 12 for 185/2 TDs didn't cut it for you today eh?

What's the plan for #71, Kyle D?  Will he be on the OL or is he a good TE candidate.  He's big and looks like he could be even stronger after a year of weights and conditioning.  Of course, to be a TE, you need good hands and I don't know if he does.  lol

GCOL,

Maybe I shouldn't have said "no defense.  Period." in reference to the Quakers.  You guys have definitely come up with some big stops during the season, and the 7 TOs recorded vs W&L was the difference in that game.

However, when I saw the Quakers (granted, against BC), I felt like BC could score whenever they wanted to score...the only thing that was going to stop them was themselves.  Before BC brought in the 2nd string, they scored TDs on 7 of 10 possessions.  The other 3 possessions...1 punt (after 2 BC penalties), 1 fumble, Clock ran out before halftime.   I don't want to discredit GC's big stops this season, but I didn't see any in the 1 game I saw them...thus my "no defense" comment.
