GCOL,
Just wanted to say that when we played ya'll (R-MC) you guys are probably the most improved team that we have seen.  You guys have a solid O-Line, a great QB, some great skill players, and a defense that may not be the best, but who never gives up.  Good luck to yall in your last game.

Man.  Thats a tough vote?  I know it would probably take forever to find an exact answer to this, but it seems like ODAC players are at or near the top of a lot of national lists.  Is the ODAC the most prolific offensive conference this year?  Is this because of bad defense or just amazing athletes (which their are plenty of)

Thanks yellow jacket.  I would have to say yall had the toughest D-line I faced.  The D as a whole was one of if not the best in the ODAC.  Good luck Saturday.  Hope you win big.

QuoteNotar and Boyle each played in every game in 99, and their stats back up the fact that Notar was sharing time with another talented back, and still managed to put up numbers that were better than Washington's this year.

Notar was probably the most dominant RB I've ever seen in the ODAC. A punishing grinder. Very different from the type of quick and shifty BC backs with break away speed. Each is outstanding in different ways but i think if you check, all of them have played behind some veteran OLinemen. I believe, during their tenure, both Notar and Boyle have had  AA's making holes for them as have some of the more prolific BC RBs.

IMO the more experienced OLine is the single most important factor contributing to BC's outstanding offensive production this year

I agree with you about Notar.  He could not be stopped by any team. The Oline was fantastic too and Notar and Boyle both recognized that and praised them every chance they could.
I would take Notar over any RB that I have seen in the ODAC from 1996 to now!!!

bcsportswriter,  I think it's the combination of both that are sending so many of the ODACs top WRs to the Top 10 in the nation.

ODAC has top 4 WR's in yards caught per game in the nation but the NCAA has Bublavi listed as a Freshman. He is not a Frosh.

lol  All our games matter.  I'm sorry yours don't.

LOL nova. I'll expand even though I know you know what I mean.
In matters, I mean to the fans travel schedule!
Case and point: At HSC this year BC traveled about 1500 fans.
At W&L we traveled about 2500.
At E&H we traveled about 400.

If the game has ODAC implications, that is Guilford has a winning record still when they play BC next year, the fans will come.

I was at Guilford last year and we brought about 100 fans. Yes we knew we would win by about 30 so non diehard fans decided not to make the 3 hr trip. The president of BC was on the sidelines that day though. Shows alittle about the commitment BC has to their football program. Oh, on  a side note, our 100 fans out numbered the 80 or so fans that the home Guilford crowd placed in the stands in 2004. :-\

Oh, and thanks for the Karma hit as I was stating a valid point, not being a smartazz. The initial comment was that GC hoped alot of BC fans came down for a great game in 2006. ;)

llamaguy - I knew exactly what you meant.  I was just teasing.  BC has a fine team and loyal fans, so you deserve to enjoy it.  I agree, BC's administration has proven its commitment to the football program the last six years or so.  I remember when BC's program was not very well funded or very successful on the field, so that is a model for the rest of us to emulate.  Last year, GC's "fans" were probably not at the BC game for a trio of reasons a) we were winless b) we knew we were probably going to lose by a bigger margin and c) it was fall break.  I wish no team had to play a home game when the students aren't there, but it seems too hard to schedule it otherwise.

Hopefully, the first phase of the Armfield Stadium renovations will be complete as scheduled by the opening game in 2006.  I would love nothing better than for both BC and GC to be undefeated overall or undefeated in the ODAC when they meet next year.  That would be something to see ...

If one man's junk is another man's treasure, then I suppose one man's valid point is another man's comeback.   I have no doubt that you believe all your points to be valid.

Good luck to BC in the postseason.  Until next October .... Peace

Actually quite a few of my points are meant to be invalid;however, I have been trying to refrain from posting them as much. LOL! I agree that it should be a good game and I will be there regardless. In fact I look forward to meeting you in person. That is the great thing about post patterns, it brings avid D3football fans together. I enjoy nothing more than laughing with the same guys I have been posting with over a beer on Saturdays. I have quite a few rival team's posters that I call friends. In some cases its even a double rival team's poster (*cough) Norton. ;D

It's the responsibility of the school's SID (or interns) to properly submit classes and positions of players.

Marcus Washington is listed as a "DB" ... I'll take the year being wrong over the position, ugh.

Yeah.  It was a lot of fun meeting norton (H-SC) and GenerallyTim and Forma80 (W&L).  We might seem to "go at it" here on PP, but our common passion for Division III football mends any verbal bouts here on PP once we meet in person.
