dont forget about josh simpson & his numbers, and his versatility.  He has played wr, rb & returned punts & kickoffs.  Also, his numbers are very similar tol Washingtons

H-SC at RMC

I was just thinking about this weekend's 111th meeting between H-SC & RMC - and that's a remarkable streak.  I realize this year the Tigers are 7-2 and the Jackets are 2-7, so no title implications, but still a lot of pride at stake.  Maybe our football historians can help me out - has there ever been a game in this season-ending series where both were undefeated or at least both undefeated in the conference going into "The Game"?

Hey GCOL - Tell the Hayesville boys (especially #2) that my nephew Joseph's Montreat b-ball team upset DI UNC-A last night.  They'll know what I'm talking about.  Thanks.

Since the ODAC began in 1976 ... only in 1977 were both schools undefeated (in conference play) going into "The Game."

R-MC was 2-0 and H-SC was 3-0.  The Tigers won.

Speaking of which, RMC has a good qb this year an a nice scheme.  If they catch HSC napping, they could make this interesting for the first time in a while.

Thanks, kid.  With those records, it looks like this hasn't always been the season-ending game.

I don't think so, Miz, I think HSC will stomp them by AT LEAST two touchdowns.

GO BC!

Yeah, I mentioned it in some earlier posts after seeing the Jackets play the Quakers ... QB Ball and WR Shareef really impressed me two weeks ago.  But I've also seen the Tigers play and I think they have too many weapons to lose to RMC.  I might be wrong, but I'm going to guess something like 49-21 Hampden-Sydney.

Already in the area and already toured the BC campus.  Might be at practice today and hitting the station early for refreshments tomorrow.  But that's only after Mrs. Coach and I go for an early morning hike to see the great valley sunrise.  Gotta love the valley including the smell of fertilizer and chicken factories in the summer heat.  Yes, you will get your present but only if you have mine ... Shorts size XXL !  ;)      Skoal, no dancing this time around but jello is "game".   Keep the 'rents under control until my arrival.   :P

I meant not too much festivities until AFTER I can come and spend some time with them.  ;)

Be careful on your hike. Saturday is the first day of Muzzleloader season in this area.  :)
