If not for a missed assignment on the option, Marcus Washington is shut down. However, great teams manage to win games, and the Eagles were obviously able to do that today.

Clearly you're joking, right?  Marcus had 78 yards on 6 carries (13.0 yards a carry).  Take away that "missed assignment on the option" (45-yard TD) and he still had 33 yards on 5 carries (6.6 yards a carry).

Great job "shutting down" someone who we were resting for playoffs.

What the hell was the big deal with LB # 22 Stutz?CUA guys made a big deal about?? He was terrible. Got blocked on every play.. SUCKED. I'd make him honerable mention all-odac just to be nice..............

I wouldn't go as far as to say he was terrible ... but yeah ... he wasn't all that impressive.  He had seven tackles because we ran the ball 43 times and he pretty much played the whole game.

TLU defeated Hardin Simmons. That will shake things up in the playoff picture.

Yup ... not likely that BC will host Ferrum now.  But I do think it betters the chance of BC hosting a game (JHU or W&J).

If Llama guy is right and they add in Alfred, they could keep Wesley in the South.  1 Trinity hosts 3 UMHB, 2 Thiel hosts 8 JHU, 4 Wesley hosts 7 W&J, 5 BC hosts 6 Ferrum.  It could still happen :)

I just want a home game!  Win or lose!  :)

We are 5-1 at Jopson Field in the playoffs (losing only to Trinity in 2002 by six points - a Tigers team who made it to the Stagg Bowl that year).

I want the AA to have the guts to give Trinity whoever is #8 and UMHB whoever is #6.  This Texas elimination bracket sucks.

Or maybe they add in HSC (8-2) instead of Alfred (8-2) and its: 1 Trinity hosts 3 UMHB, 2 Thiel (9-0) hosts 8 JHU (8-2), 4 BC (8-1) hosts 6 Ferrum (9-1), 5 W&J (9-1) hosts 7 HSC (8-2).

And I'm with you!

Either way, Capital to the South or if Wesley stays in the South I see a 2nd round trip for BC to Texas as a very good possibility now.

Llama,

maybe not if UMHB beats Trinity.

Never mind.  I just remembered that the brackets are fixed (by that I mean kept in place, no foul play suggested) assuming the higher ranked team wins each round, then remaining teams play lowest at highest.

...except for the travel rule.   ::)
GO BC!

How much playing time did BC's 2nd and 3rd's get Saturday, beyond the normal rotation in the lines and sp teams?

What was causing all the unsportsmanlike conduct calls yesterday?  I forgot my radio headset, so I wasn't getting the skinny from up in the booth.
NO, Tusky, You cannot MOON Dr. Geisert!

Question about playoff lineups:

BC dresses out a ton of players, and often has the chance to get their 2dn and 3rd lines in the game ( I heard someone yesterday compare it to the line shifts of an ice hockey team!)

I heard two comments of interest yesterday, the first was how BC would be hurt in the playoffs with the line-up cutdown to 52 players.

Any truth to this idea, or just speculation?  Wouldn't the limit hurt other teams, too?

The second question was about Mike Clark.

He is 61-10 since 2000, built up the program to a perennial playoff factor.  He has five straight league titles and six consecutive playoff appearances.  Is there any chance he will be leaving, or is he at BC for the rest of his career?  Has anyone come after him, and declined to stay at BC?

Questin 2a is from me...if no one has come after him, with his record recently why haven't they come after him?

trash talking with Catholic players and saying that the pass inteference call was bull crap (other word)... which it was!

also the refs in the odac are a little bent overshape when it comes down to bridgewater... they make them take off bracelets, head covers, knee pads over their knees completely, etc. they need to pay attention to the Catholic o-lineman holding  the d-line jerseys yesterday.

I think a little trash talking make the game a little more intense because it's comes down to one little thing ....run your mouth but you better back it up... by the end of the game they shake hands 95% of the time and laugh about it.

Great game Catholic, good coaching call with the onside kick. Tom Clark pulled a Mike Clark special... by catching them unexpectedly. If i was the coach Tom, i would of went for it on fourth down every possesion that i had.

Also, we need to congrats BC for being the most penalized team for six years in a row maybe seven :'(  j/k ... Get those penalties down for playoffs
