Olinemom,

I think that if Coach Higgison is using his brain he will not run the three man line.  It prevents you from stoping anyone.

Congrats Quakes!! I am impressed beyond comprehension.

Let's upgrade Vogelbach's and Barnett's locker spaces to keep em at the place.

ODAC rumor mill:

I heard that former W&L all-conference cornerback Chris Shortall (1998-2001) just got featured in People magazine as being seen in cahoots with Paris Hilton

I got a few offline comments about this... its true...

does anybody know what the seeding looks like in the south?

D3Waterboy...

The committee doesn't release seedings, because there aren't any (wink wink...), but BC is favored.  The only way a team hosts, but isn't considered a "higher seed" is if the other team didn't apply for a home game or doesn't have an adequate facility.  Neither are the case here.  If W&J were truly favored, they'd be at home.

So, is Trinity favored, or the national runner-ups?
Did I hear Pat Coleman say on ESPN that he favors the 'Number 2 seed' in the North to make the Stagg Bowl game?

Just giving you a hard time Pat, but a team can be the higher seed because they scored higher in some formula, and still not be the team most people think will win.    I think it's hard to overlook W&J's strength (passing) mixing against BC's weakness (defending the pass), or that W&J should be pretty familiar with BC's offense, with last year's QB on its sidelines.

Jeremybozz

With Wakefield on the W&J sidelines  will BC have to change up the hand signals or does a sub bring the play into the huddle each down on offense?

Llamaguy

I agree Mizzou. I've already looked at some of the numbers.

W&J                W&J Opponent             BC             BC Opponent

PPG                 44.0                    15.1                      42.7               27.6

Rushing/gm (183.5 yd/22TD)    (87.7 yd/8TD)      (277.6yd/29TD) (106 yd/15TD)

Pass/gm      (332.5 yd/35TD)   (182.2 yd/8TD)      (203.9yd/21TD) (281.4 yd/18TD)

Sacks               24                          15                     18                   12

INT                   11                         19                       7                   16

Fumbles       11-lost 8                 15-lost 9              10-lost 6           14-lost 3

Common Opponents

Washington Jefferson at E&H:          50-0 W&J
Washington Jefferson vs. Hanover:  56-20 W&J

Bridgewater at E&H:                         31-17 BC
Bridgewater at Hanover:                  56-42 BC

The Analysis:
1. I don't put alot of weight on the Common opponent scores as BC played Hanover on the road and the E&H game was in the rain where BC's offensive play calling was cut in half.

2. I do think BC's offense will have to play their best game of the year. W&J's only loss came to Thiel by 3 points in OT. In that same game Thiel intercepted 5 passes. That is quite a margin for error to go to OT even with 5 int's. BC will have to play mistake free.

3. History tells us that BC plays well in the playoffs regardless of opponent. With the exception of the Mt Union 66-0 game, BC has played within 7 pts in all its losses. Including one to Mt. Union and the Dbl OT game last year at W&J.

4. Jopson Field is magical. BC will come prepared to play. Prepared teams make big plays in big games. Its time to step-up and show some BC Football tradition in our season, "the postseason!"

Ditto,

Paybacks a biitch. I can't think of a team I'd rather play.  If you made the trip to Washington, PA last November, you probably have the same sentiment.

I'm freaking psyched, Home playoff game(s) babbbby!!! Saturday can't come soon enough.

Has anyone figured out if BC is a higher seed than UMHB? I know, I know, one game at a time.

I wouldn't be surprised to see UJH beat Thiel.

You two are being MEAN!!    What I wouldn't give to have either of you streaking down the field ready to catch a ball from Jeff or Jake.  That would be awesome!! Your talents are truly missed!!!

So, is Trinity favored, or the national runner-ups?

Just giving you a hard time Pat,

I re-read this several times before I decided you were referring to Cummings the second time. :)

Lol.  Too many lights in that studio Pat? :)

It just doesn't feel natural to call someone by a full name on this board, and typing 'Pat C.' just doesn't cut it in the South region.

Yes I do know that it is not either one of those, although I'd love to have them catching footballs for us as well.  I just gave Dre a terrific recommendation for a position (more like a life style) he has applied for.
