Skoal,

I'll be there.  Been laying low the past two weeks because of the (relative) unimportance of the games relative to the playoffs.  Now, I'm free and clear for the duration...no nagging for being out of town.

I'll be bringing the dog, but no Skoal, I'm not leaving you alone with her again.  The poor thing was shivering and skittish for a month after the last time you were "with" her.

Rugby, your dog is a big girl.  I don't think Skoal could hurt her any.

Just to let everyone know that roger wasn't just kicked off because of what he said in the article about going in the locker room early.  in the staffs' defense they have had to put up with alot from roger all season and some of you make the comment that he was a vocal leader, well he wasn't.  If anything he was small cancer cell that finally was removed

Tip for BC against W&J--I was at the Thiel and W&J game---the only way to slow down the W&J offense is to get pressure in Edwards face- Thiel only sacked him 3 times but forced him to make bad decisions by getting constant pressure in his face--hence he threw 5 int's.    And they got the pressure only rushing 3 and 4 guys- dropping the rest back in coverage

Yeah, that's exactly how we beat W&J back on '01.  Last year we tried the "rush 3 and sit everybody else in a deep zone and let them pick us apart all day" approach and let's just say it was not as effective.

We need to blitz, blitz, blitz.  If we get burned, we just get the ball back sooner.  Hell, they scored every time they had the ball last year anyway so I don't see why we would be conservative.  Blitz and we might just force some mistakes.

Alstott was not in the End Zone. Bridgewater needs to blitz vs W&J. Since Jermaine Taylor got his degree we have not rushed the passer as much. The trip to Alliance in '03 was an anomaly in that Mount Union picked up the blitz. We have not tried it as often since that day.

The three man line defense is not the way to win this game.  As the person who was at the W&J/Thiel game said, BC needs to presure Edwards.

I agree and I know Olinemom does too.  I hope the coaches read this board, because I am sure they can't figure it out without us.

Sarcasm intended but I hate the 3 man line.

BTW, if Coach Clark is reading this, you know we think you are a god.  I am only kidding a little bit.

Well what I meant to say was that to beat W&J you must pressure the QB into bad throws- as Thiel did.  However, Thiel was able to put pressure on him with just 3 and 4 guys rushing-   Their quarterback made a statement to the paper that said something like....."its hard to make your reads when theyre dropping seven back into coverage and still getting pressure in your face."

oldtimer4774,
Was Thiel stunting hard?  Did the disgise their rush schemes well or did they just line up and say we're better than you are and now we're gonna prove it?  I was just questioning how they were able to put on presure with a three man line because BC got burned doing that last year. ;D

Just a question for the BC folks out there.  How much will it cost to get into the playoff game?

Prices are mandated by the NCAA.  It's something like $5.

To go along with wadell's suspension, I heard through the mill that defensive co-ordinator Grant Higginson would not be on the field this week, but would have to sit up on the press box where Coach Colbert sits.  Anyone else know if this is true?

i guess the mill is your roomate... right? haha

Oops, looks like I was wrong:

Minimum Prices. The minimum ticket price for adults at preliminary rounds of the Division III championship shall be $8. A $4 student general-admission ticket, with student identification card, is permissible for students of participating institutions for preliminary-round games.

I never realized it was a minimum price ...

this game is definitely going to be interesting.  We will have a healthy 31 in the game.  I'm anxious to see what kind of adjustments the w&j defense is going to make because of sunshine and what colbert has up his sleeve.

We we're just messing with ya sunshine, you know i would've enjoyed catching passes from you overseas
