Train,
TU in 2002 was the only home playoff loss in BC history.

BC beat Waynesburg at home in 2003 postseason. Eagles batted away a pass in the end zone to win. I attended my brother's graduation that day in Charlotte. I will attend the BC/W&J game instead of the 1st birthday party of my niece.

I can't understand why people would plan birthdays during the playoffs ;D

Ugh.  Wakefield is getting a bit too much press if you ask me!  ;)

I honestly think Wakefield being on the Presidents' sideline will affect the outcome of this weekend's game as much as Hug if affected by hot women as they pass by.

As Cummings said in his ATR column this week, "Mike Clark is the best game planning coach in the region, and possibly the country."  Add to that Colbert being the most experienced (and perhaps the best) offensive coordinator in the country.

from MIZ: Both Lord and McKinnie played in offenses that were a lot different than the things that Guilford and CUA are running now so stats aren't everything (esp considering CUA and Guilford w/ all there prolific statistics were a combined 7-13 in the W-L colum this year...)

Good point. I read about Lords but never saw him. I heard he was a MAN so evidenced by playing at the next next level for so many years. I think McKinnie is playing AFL 1 somewhere but I cannot remember.
I saw both of them play.  Junior Lord made the practice squad with several NFL teams, but never got in an NFL game to my knowledge.  He played in Europe, but I can't tell you where his career is now.  He scored 18 TDs and was on the 8-2 Guilford team that shared the 1997 ODAC championship.  His QB, Danny Strelkauskas, was quite good and had many GC & ODAC records until Vogelbach came along.  Chris McKinney starred at Guilford a few years later - left for NC State for a year - and then came back.  While at Guilford, he has the NCAA record of 5 punt returns for a TD in a season (2001).  Both were fast and sure-handed but did not play in an attack that threw as many passes as GC does now.  I bet their production would have been 25-30% higher if they were at GC now.  Both were and still would be ODAC 1st teamers and All-Americans.

Now if you haven't figured that out then you are in quite the prediciment.  I thought you would have figured that out back in 5th/6th/7th Grade.  Or was is just last night?  I wonder where all the "pent" up rage is coming from.  Now I know.

its a good thing sunshine didn't know the BC offense too well; that could give them an advantage... ;D
hahahahahahahahahahaha
You two are being MEAN!!    What I wouldn't give to have either of you streaking down the field ready to catch a ball from Jeff or Jake.  That would be awesome!! Your talents are truly missed!!!
Umm, you do know that isn't Marcus Richardson and Andre Jones, right?  :D
...jk
Yes I do know that it is not either one of those, although I'd love to have them catching footballs for us as well.  I just gave Dre a terrific recommendation for a position (more like a life style) he has applied for.

Umm ... I know they are Xxxxxxx and Xxxxx ... I was joking around saying that those two - as good as they were - weren't as good as a Richardson or Jones (again, I was joking).

But I see where you thought I was being literal and not sarcastic. :)
No, I am too tired these days to recognize anything like that.  I am just finished my test for tomorrow morning and I have a tuorting session with #22 at 8 am.  Ouch!!!!  You are right about the relative speed ,etc.  But Sticky fingers kept hold of the ball, which we could use at this juncture!!!

To go along with wadell's suspension, I heard through the mill that defensive co-ordinator Grant Higginson would not be on the field this week, but would have to sit up on the press box where Coach Colbert sits.  Anyone else know if this is true?

Hope so, so we can get out of that 3 down lineman cover 3 defense he always calls no matter down or distance.

Amen

Tip for BC against W&J--I was at the Thiel and W&J game---the only way to slow down the W&J offense is to get pressure in Edwards face- Thiel only sacked him 3 times but forced him to make bad decisions by getting constant pressure in his face--hence he threw 5 int's.    And they got the pressure only rushing 3 and 4 guys- dropping the rest back in coverage

Yeah, that's exactly how we beat W&J back on '01.  Last year we tried the "rush 3 and sit everybody else in a deep zone and let them pick us apart all day" approach and let's just say it was not as effective.

We need to blitz, blitz, blitz.  If we get burned, we just get the ball back sooner.  Hell, they scored every time they had the ball last year anyway so I don't see why we would be conservative.  Blitz and we might just force some mistakes.

Yes, it was quite painful to watch that picking apart last year and every time that particular defense has been used this year.  If it is used on Saturyda, it'll be suicide!

Prices are mandated by the NCAA.  It's something like $5.

$8 this year, but that still is a bargain!

or weddings. My niece thinks I'm staying for the real wedding, but I figure I'll see the rehearsal one and see the video later.  I need to be at Jopson field on Saturday and of course at Stone Station before!!  Sorry about the string of posts, but I can only post after I get my "homework" done :)

I noticed in the final team of the week, d3football.com noted that Brad Duesing finished 6th all time in d3 receptions. That is incorrect, and Duesing will have to settle for 7th. I believe Bublavi's career total is now 4,485, which would make him 4th all time. His yards receiving this year, 1797, is good for the 3rd best receiving yardage season in d3 history also. Whether he is ODAC player of the year or not, he had a great year this year and an amazing career.

Also noticed in the d3 record books that Ricca and Vogelbach both surpassed the freshman records for completions, attempts, and yardage. Ricca tied the record for TDs, while Vogelbach set a new mark. Maybe the GC and CUA offenses will pass less if they can gain better running games, but if these two QBs continue to pass over the next 3 years like they have in 2005, than some records will fall 3 years from now.
