Congrats to Corey Haase (OT) from Guilford for making the South Team for the East Coast Bowl (all-star game for Division II, III, and NAIA players).  Game is played on Nov. 26, so they took players not in the NCAA playoffs.

Other Division III players:

Jeremy Jackson – DT – Averett
Jerrod Sample – OG – Salisbury
Leroy Satchell – RB – Salisbury
Kelvin Ricks – OT - Salisbury
Jeff Chick – WR – Widener

This game now also include DI-AA as well. Congrats Corey.

Is Delaware St. Non-athletic Scholarship?

Does anyone have a clue how the defense is going to be calling plays tomorrow?  With Higginson up on the press box, is he going to be relaying the calls down to the sideline and then onto the field?  From what I have seen and heard there are already some complaints that the defense has been getting the calls in late already?  If there has to be another part in the equation, that could really cause problems getting set?  Any thoughts?

No, I don't think so - they're in the MEAC with Howard, NC A&T, SC State, Bethune- Cookman and schools like that.

writer,

I've heard we are going to stay in the three man front all day. They tell me that's what you prefer.  8)

As Sam Huff says, The Prevent Defense will prevent you from winning!

I'm assuming Coach Higgison will relay down to Coach Healey (D-line coach).  Colbert & Soltis have always relayed down to Clark & Koy ... so I don't see this hurting anything or slowing things up.

Oh yeah.  Never been a big fan of the prevent.  Look at the Vikings vs. Giants game last sunday.  The Giants dont give up any offense all game (especially through the air) in their regular defense and then switch to prevent with the score tied and less than a minute to go.  Of course this allows the Vikings to get some easy catches and move into field goal range and win.  Why not stay in the base defense that hasnt allowed yards all day?  Stay with whats working.  That being said, the prevent or three man line crap has been better lately because the defensive backs have been more aggressive and have been jumping routes and getting interceptions.  Im no fan of letting the quarterback sit in the pocket, but if we are going to do it the DB's have to be all over the field cause Edwards will be able to find holes.  Looking at his rushing stats (negative) he doesnt seem to be much different than Ricca at H-SC, and we always trouble him with pressure. Lets do the same this weekend

I'll just have to get the cars parked in a hurry.  Once the west lot is full my parking work is done.

Let's just hope that takes you up to high noon!  Sorry you have to work!  See you at BW3's tonight!  What time you coming?  Might want to bring a girl or two.  Don't be showing up with a bunch of dude's.  I'd hate for it to be a helmet party

Kid- the only problem i see is that Colbert relays down the plays depending on down and distance and feel, leaving enough time to get it on the field.  Higginson has to wait to see what personel the offense has on the field and then he likes to see the formation alot of times before he calls plays when he is on the sidelines.  If he waits that long this week it wont work.  Colbert can call a play down anytime during the playclock.  Higginson is already a step behind because he has to react to the offense

Good point ... well, maybe Clark will be calling the plays?  I don't know.

Guess we'll see in 25 and a half hours!  :o

Skoal,

I'll have to see if I can find one to brake in tonight. ;)  If not, we'll keep the eyes open up at BW3's.  As for time that really depends on when Doug gets in from Indiana.

Hopefully that will keep us out of the prevent defense. ;)
