miz,
In my understanding Deon's stats in the W&J game shouldn't matter for all-ODAC consideration.  I was under the impression that those awards are based on regular season performance.

That is true, but a player who has consistently played his position as good as he has, and then almost single handly win BC the ODAC with 3 picks inside the 10 yardline in the conference's biggest game. That does not happen by accident.

Pat Coleman

I was told by a reliable source: Ricca offensive, Stutz defensive, Vogelbach rookie, M.Clark coach.

I agree with Ricca, Vogelbach, and Clark.  All deserving selections.  The defensive makes me wonder, although I don't know if there was really a concensus standout defensive player in the conf. this year.  So maybe they just said give it to the guy with the most tackles :-\

...give it to the guy with the most tackles...

Given the discussions of THAT subject over the past two-three weeks, I doubt THAT was the criteria....
Been wrong before.  Will be wrong again.

I saw Stutz play 5/6 times...he was a beast in most of those games...I didn't see the CU-BC game...Inman from HSC also had a great year...but I couldn't argue against Stutz...he was the best I saw this year.

Congratulations to all the All-ODAC selections!  We may not all unanimously agree on who should be 1st team, 2nd team, honorable mention, POY, FOY, COY, etc., but we do all agree these are fine players and coaches.  They all made a big impact on the success of their teams and, I think, would have been stars for any team in the ODAC, if not the country.

Congrats to all the players on the All-ODAC teams!

The teams have been posted!

Only 1 RB on the first team, and only 1 RB on the 2nd team.

1st Team has 3 WRs... 2nd Team has 4 WRs!

1st Team WRs went to:

WR: Nick Bublavi, Catholic

WR: Chris Barnette, Guilford

WR: Drew Smith, Hampden-Sydney

Congratulations to the all the guys who were honored, especially the guys from Catholic. Everybody from Catholic who I thought deserved to be on the ODAC teams were there.

The presentation of the ODAC teams on the website is nicer than its previously been.
I'm not surprised by the amount of WRs honored, because there were that many who deserved it. However, I think Josh Simpson deserved more than an honorable mention. I thought he was more important to what HSC did this year than Rolander, especially with Junes out for the year and Omick gone for the beginning of the season.
I thought Marshall Doss was easily a 1st team linebacker, but I guess 2nd team isn't bad for a guy from a 1 win team.

Interesting that Tweardy and Jacob Lewis didn't get any recognition, but I think if Lewis was a company, his stock would have dropped over the last few weeks of the season.

I love me some Marcus Washington even if you love you some John David Ricca!  :-*

I have to hand it to you Mizzou ... for being a Bridgewater grad and fan (the latter I'm questioning  :D), you haven't once wavered from your "Ricca-is-the-Best-Player-Alive" stance.

LOL.  How do you like me now Kid?  ;)

Well, for the most part, 2005 was the year of the forward pass in the ODAC.

There is a reason eight posters voted Marcus as their POTY (four of which were NOT BC fans) ... can't argue against J.D. though ... like Clemmons, great statistical senior season (and career).
