That's strange.  Did they not want to host a third round game?

I know when BC had the paperwork snafu our in 2000 it was because we missed the deadline.  Apparently Thiel filed just not for the whole playoffs?  I don't understand.

The DNR article a few days ago said the Thiel coach called BC's Coach Clark several years ago for  guidance on coaching a losing team into playoff contention...Maybe Coach Clark taught him how to file less-than-perfect playoff paperwork too...

Did the Eagles leave today? Curious about their legs

Maybe Thiel figured they wouldn't be the top seed, and wouldn't be hosting anyway if the top seed won to the 3rd round.  In any case, it's unfortunate for them.

The whole Thiel thing is irrelevant.  we all know that here at BC. :)

Anyone know how much academics and community service actually go into the Gagliardi award?  Is it mainly on the field accomplishments?  I dont know much about any of those players except for elliot is the best in the country....but are Bublavi or Ricca or Washington not on there because of academics and comm. service?   or were they not good enough on the field to be considered?

I was looking at Thiel's roster and it looks like they have tapped into Florida in their recruiting like BC does.  That must have came from the two coaches talking in the past as well.  I also tried to look at their stats page but when u click on it, it takes you to the Men's B-ball stats for this year.  They trying to hide something?  lol

Hey LLAMAGUY, SKOALTRAIN and HUG - just wanted to see what the tailgate/camping plans are for Thiel.  Some guys were wondering where the campers were before the W & J game.  Thanks.
Eaglemicman: Didn't stay the night at BC before the W&J game.  Showed up quite early to set up shop.  Had a great time and a great game!

I won't be making the trip to Greenville, PA.  I know Bo and a few of our fellow Stone Stationer's will be on their way Friday.  I'm truly sorry I'll miss it but you can bet I'll be listening on the internet.  I'll have my Boone's Farm and will be taking communion some 438 miles away but SkoalTrain will be there in Spirit!  You're in good hands with Llamaguy.  He knows how to roll!

Good Luck and GodSpeed my fellow Stoners!

No they didn't leave today.  I saw lots of them at the women's basketball game this evening.  The women won big tonight!!  Something like 40 points! ;D

Did you read what kind of community service the finalists did?  I was UNDERWHELMED.  And there was no information that I could see on their scholarship or lack thereof.  So it's pretty much a football award, which Elliott should win, hands down.  Perhaps I think that because I have seen him in action.  He was pretty impressive.

Olinemom, the voters are provided with more detailed information. Not everything is shared with the public, as I'm sure you can understand.

I am sure of that.  I did wonder, however, why there wasn't a bit more of the community service listed?    And with the new privacy laws being what they are, the grade stuff can't go out.  I still think B. Elliott will win.  He's pretty magical.

BC WR Brandon Copeland has been cleared to play the DNR reported today. The Sophomore had been playing even better the 2nd half of the season.
