NEW WEATHER REPORT FOR SATURDAY OUT OF CLEVELAND JUST ISSUED A WEATHER STORM ADVISORY!

New Weather report out of cleveland for the game:

An Alberta Clipper is coming in from Canada and will bring in cold air off the lake.  THe west side of cleveland will only see a max of 6 inches but the east side (Snow belt will see 8-12) and for the far east in Ohio and Western PA has a very very good chance they said of seeing up to 2 FEET OF SNOW!!!!!  From Today and untill Saturday.  Why will Western PA get such a huge hit?  The cold air first coming off from Canada, and then the Lake Effect will continue with Snow bands for the next couple of days due to the warm lake tempature, the news report said.  It will be a messy holiday weekend with the white stuff falling!!  Well see how far into Western PA this system will get to, but its my hunch that there very well could be some snow on the field after all!

Safe Drivings!

there's an article in the times-dispatch today about the all-odac teams. it mentions h-sc's players(6), w&l's players(4), and macon's players(3), as well as lists the names of all the first team members. what it fails to mention is bridgewater's players on the first team (7), any of them on the 2nd or HM teams, or coach clark being named coach of the year. i guess bridgewater seceded (my word of the day) from the state of virginia. i'm rather furious about this but cannot find an email or number to call about this blatant oversight.

Me too ... that's ridiculous.

Lexington is rougly 12 more miles further from Richmond than Bridgewater is.  So distance isn't their excuse.

Looks like (as far as bolding the "state only" players) they just didn't know what they were doing.  Emory & Henry isn't bolded either.  But the write-up they did doesn't make much sense (as far as why they left Bridgewater off).  They highlighted Liam Murray from W&L, who is from New York.  Hmm.

Outsider- me and some guys are heading up to PA friday night.  I am thinking we are gonna get a hotel in Pittsburgh.  what are some good hot spots we can go to up there for some drinks? Are hotels more expensive right in the city?

Outsider - Some of the guys here on campus that are coming to the game are wondering what the weather is like in Pittsburgh?  Do you have any snow yet and what does it look like for the next couple of days?  Thanks.

http://www.weather.com/weather/local/15203?lswe=15203&lwsa=WeatherLocalUndeclared for the weather. looks treacherous. be careful driving, especially through the mountains. the turnpike shouldn't be bad, but be careful going through west virginia if you go the 522-68 route.

i got the times-dispatch on their omissions. it would be great if some more people could back me up. that really is irresponsible of them.

writer: i recommend the red roof inn in cranberry right off the turnpike and 79N junction. cheap rooms (hotel rooms in the city are significantly more expensive), not entirely too far from the city and closer to greenville. as for places in town to drink, there are plenty. i hear tonight is the biggest party night of the year, so be careful driving if you're going to drive. it would probably be smarter to get a cab. they will know where to take you. i recommend either the strip (deja vu is fun, as is rolands and sanctuary if you're into the techno scene). there's also station square (saddleridge is a country bar, margarita mama's is lots of fun, and matrix is a nice club; red star and bar louie are good bar/restaurants). if you're really into an adventure, take the (long) trip to the waterfront and go to dave & busters. video games and drinks. no dry campus there. be aware that the strip and some places at station square have a dress code (sans saddleridge; VA country boys fit in there). I'm not sure if I'll be staying in town friday night or going up to the hotel w/ the family. Private message me friday morning before you leave if you want my number in case i am in town friday night.

BC WR Brandon Copeland has been cleared to play the DNR reported today. The Sophomore had been playing even better the 2nd half of the season.

Yup this is true. I talked to #87 and he said he would be ready to roll this Saturday. Interestingly he said had the brace he is wearing come in prior to last Saturday he would have played against W&J. Tells you a little about our depth at receiver. I will definitely be sporten' the #87 this weekend. His size couldn't bring dividends against thier short Db's if the weather permits a passing game on Saturday. ;)

What is your spread on BC. I am thinking more than a FG probably +8.

Quotebut are Bublavi or Ricca or Washington not on there because of academics and comm. service?   or were they not good enough on the field to be considered?

Take a look at where the guys are from who are represented on that finalist list. Only Elliot and Knoblauch are from outside of the midwest. It looks to me like this is a regional award, which considers just a few players from other regions.

Depends on the weather! Thiel is a scrappy team much like us in 2000. That spells a fight to the finish. That being said, if passing is not an option, and on a slick field, I'll take our running game esp. if Highfill is at QB. Should be a good game. BC by 10.

I got the following from the weather channel severe weather alert for Greenville, PA. You might want to plan your travel accordingly.

Wind on Saturday is supposed to be a managable 12 mph but the cold and remnants of snow may slow down the scoring. Thankfully the field is rubber and not mud and ice like some places we've seen in PA.

Keep updated on the weather at :

"Bridgewater at Thiel
This could be one of the day's closest games, or if nothing else, the most electrifying with the Eagles' Marcus Washington and Tomcats' Brandon Chambers on the same field. The artificial turf should accent Bridgewater's overall team speed, and the wind tunnelish Alumni Stadium should remind the Eagles of Jopson Field. Especially if Bridgewater travels well, as expected. Though my gut says to take the Eagles' playoff experience, Thiel is 3-for-3 this year in overtime, playing one more period each time they do it. So Thiel 53, Bridgewater 51, 4 OT."

read: PACK UP THE CAR AND HIT THE ROAD! i'll be there. nothing can keep me (short of "you're fired if you go") drive slow and you'll be fine, i do it all the time  8) thiel may be 3for3 in OT this year, but our redzone offense and defense is damn-near spectacular.

we're hittin the road for the mahntneers; safe travels to all and cheer em on. be loud and positive!
LETS GET IT JUMPIN!

It does indeed appear snow will hit the Greenville area this weekend and that the weather will be a factor for both squads.
