It was full...i saw a few posts on here saying people could not get in.

Whoa ... the chatroom was full?!  So when you were in there, how many was "full"?  (when I set the chat up, it didn't tell me what the maximum was)

Olinemon,

Sorry we couldn't hold up our end of the deal down here in Texas.  Maybe we can make it happen next year.   ;)

Just a note for you guys laughing at the UMHB announcers.  My son, who started at MLB for the Cru last year, was one of them (doing color) and it was his first time ever in a radio booth.  He was subbing for the basketball coach who usually does the games but was coaching basketball in Arkansas this week.  You guys got in on the end of the contest when it was hard to fill time as the game was out of hand.  You might ought to take them at their word.  Many of your posters saw us last year at the Stagg Bowl and know the kind of speed we have.  The Wesley receiver flat outran us four times.  They are "vastly underrated" and if they play next week like they did against us, you guys will have your hands full.

I have to root for the team that beat us but I want you to know that I have enjoyed your board for the past several years and if I can make it to the Stagg Bowl, I will see you at Stone Station.  ;D
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

At one time, I saw 25+.  Great venue!  That was the only thing that saved us! The feed crapped out and we had no choice but to resort to the next best thing!  We were informed by a BC buddy and he did a great job!!!!

Hat's off to MB!  He kept us in the loop!

See you in Dover!!!!!

Now only if my stinkin' server let me upload my updated webpages for my site, ugg.

Maybe Sunday morning they will have this problem fixed.

Until then, it'll look like I'm slacking!  >:(

I apologize for the play by play postings. I wish we had an in game update page like the ASC does and the ODAC Mens Basketball board also does due to me posting the BC/JMU mens hoops exhibition. It will not happen again. I am sorry to all who I have offended.
When the chat room got full I was no longer able to post there half the time anyway.
 At least BC won.

Congratulations, Eagles, on your excellent play and advancing the Bridgewater (and ODAC) banner to yet another round of the playoffs.  Good job ... and good luck against Wesley!

And let me further say for the record that I sincerely hope that Keith Mc again picks against BC against Wesley...his methods have worked for us so far, why mess with a good thing?  ;)

I second, third, and fourth this statement.  ;D Just got home as the Alumni bus failed in Somerset on the way home.  No fears, one of the team buses came back and picked us up so we didn't have to thumb a ride home.
Let me just say to JBozz--That Brandon #87 was being hugged very tightly at the goal line by a Thiel guy with the ref looking directly at him and it should have been defensive interference but there wouldn't be a flag on Thiel until the 4th quarter.  Go figure.  Even when the holding was as obvious as it was last week.  I don't mind getting flags when they are deserved and believe me there were some deserved--that first try to block a punt, for instance,  the push in the endzone that got Thiel the ball on the 2 and they got their first 7 points  But even in the final wrapup, their announcer was calling the final couple of flags in the last 20 or so seconds, gi-me flags, which is unfortunate.  But hey, we won and I shouldn't complain.  The Thiel football team is to be commended for their season and for their great fan support.  I particularly appreciated the awesome tailgate that the school and their football parents provided for us visitors today. It was an incredible spread and a wonderful act of hospitality, like I have never seen before.  It goes one better than the breakfast at Mount Union that time, because the football parents made so many wonderful dishes .  I can't praise them enough for this display of good sportsmanship and hospitality.  Truly magnificent!!  Of course, I was way too nervous to eat any of it, but everybody else was chowing down bigtime.  Hope to see everybody (and that means you, too Skoaltrain) in Dover.  that's a daytrip, no excuses.  We need to be there in force.  We were there big time today, but next week grows in importance and so should our numbers!!!  ps.  Way to go Brandon Borst #42-- 16 tackles!!  No wonder you were exhausted after the game.  So proud of you!!!!!

GO BC EAGLES!!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Regardless, if you can't make it to Wesley, D3football.com/NCAASports.com will be broadcasting the game, hopefully with few interruptions.  I did the Wesley/Ferrum game without a single cut out.

As long as you promise not to jinx us, Pat!! ;D ;D ;D  You and Keith need to keep not picking us as ti's been good Karma so far.  Might I suggest checking out #42 Brandon Borst 's playing with 16 tackles today and #71 Paul Getty for some superior OLine play.  It will make some good watching, I can assure you. :)

I have created an ODAC in game updates page due to outrage over all my BC update posts. For the record it was a total of about 7 pages and it was not all me.
If 1360 AM had broadcast the BC game instead of Turner Ashby's (congrats Knights) I could have listened in my car radio but I can't get 105.1 FM from where I live.

Bwana...

You've gotta understand the nature of the beast.  It's a webcast.  It's not perfection.  My broadcast cut out twice, but I got it back up and running - it happens.

Complaining about it won't do anything - just ask if there can be anything done to keep the stream from cutting.

Pat, I have been in or around IT professionally for many years, and around administration for more years than that...so, at one level I understand exactly you mean.

However, I also think that when services are offered, it is because you think they will be used.  Once you do that, some level of responsibility is incurred to keep the service up or let your customers (in this case, a/k/a alumni, players parents, etc) know why the service is not up.  In this case neither occured.

It is appropriate to let the Athletic and or IT and or alumni department know that listeners are dissatisfied with the situation and want it fixed...and it is better done in force.  The more that express dissatisfaction, the more likely the problem is to be fixed.

While your announced D3 broadcast of the BC-Wesley track meet is marvelous, I want to see the problem w/ the bc server taken care of now and a notification process put in place (something simple, like a note on the log-in page that there is a problem), because come next fall, I doubt D3 will be broadcasting all the BC games-a tragic oversight on your part, but a likely development nonetheless ;)  -and we will not have that option to fall back on.

You see, this is not just about current eagles [cue patriotic music and the alma mater] this is about future eagle fans, too!

Kid-

Thank you for the foresight in setting up the chat room!  It was a lifesaver!

When I was in, I counted 26 participants.

Kid, for your IT info, we tried to get in chat room, it said 20 participants and full.  Hope to go to Dover friday night somehow, beltway traffic will be unbearable.

Congrats to BC on beating Thiel. You guys were the betting team yesterday and your special teams play really made the difference in the game. BC has great team speed and it is clear that Thiel needs to upgrade their overall speed to further advance in the post-season. Good luck at Wesley.....I'll be rooting for BC to go all the way.

Partly Cloudy with a High in the mid to upper 40's.

The South moves north....then east...

The South Region finals has an interesting trend...in '99 & '00 it was in TX...in '01 & '02 it was in VA...in '03 & '04 it was in PA...in '05 it will be in DL...I don't think we can go any further northeast for the South Region...I thought a school had to serve Bar-B-Q and grits in their cafeteria to qualify for this region...guess not...
