Not much talk on here about who might be attending the game?  Someone give me an idea on who is going to show?  I might be rolling with about 6-7 folks in tow on the Stone Station Caravan.

Rugby Guy

Skoal?   Six or seven this time?  You're bringing all the kids and their mother (your sister).  That's sweet.  Make sure she remembers her teeth this time.

I would say Dr. Stone's made positive changes in many aspects of BC, not just the football program.  Demand excellence in all you do....

CBE,

I thought my opening paragraph covered that, but you are absolutely correct.  Dr. Stone does so many great things for Bridgewater, I certainly didn't mean to imply he has only had an impact on the football team.

My post was more along the lines of Rugby Guy.  What a difference one man can make.  Thank you Dr. Stone.

I'll be there on Saturday, I'm pretty sure.  I have to have an implant (dental-get your minds out of the gutter) on Thursday, but I should be ok for Saturday.  However, I won't be bringing my LOUDMOUTH with me, so Skoal, Llama, Kid,  Olinemom and others will have to make up for my lost volume.

Seriously, I hope to see youse guys Saturday in Delaware.

But please tell me, are they Delawarians or Delawarites?

Only Rev. Jim knows for sure. ;D

Pak,

I'll be there on Saturday.

It's Delawarian.  I had to check somewhere else.  I asked dad, who happens to be a reverend named Jim, and he didn't know.

Actually, it's Delawarean with an "e."  I did an internet search of famous Delawareans (E. I. du Pont, Dallas Green, Cab Calloway, Elisabeth Shue, Judge Reinhold, George Thorogood and others) and that's the only reason I know.  lol

There you go making corrections prematurely again, hasanova. Either one (ian or ean) is correct.

Matt Barnhart (kid)

It has been mentioned about Wesley's size ... but after looking it up (on the offensive and defensive lines) it's pretty darn impressive:

Wesley defensive line: 6-3, 287 / 6-3, 238 / 6-2, 327 / 6-5, 255

That's an average of roughly 6-3, 277 :o ... that has to be around the NFL average.

Their scariest player is Bryan Robinson (the 6-3, 287 one).  On the season, he has 20.5 TFL, 14 sacks, 10 pass break-ups, 7 forced fumbles (most in nation), and 3 blocked kicks.  And he's only a sophomore.  Scary.

Three of their starting offensive linemen are 6-3, 295 .... 6-5, 280 ... 6-4, 297 ... two of whom are only freshmen.  Their best OL (based on All-Conference status) is their 5-11, 242-pound center.

Hey Skoal, as a Delaware resident and BC alum, I will be there....only a 45 minute drive for me, and bringing at least 6 more with me...so we will be ready.

Man kid, that sounds like an enormous d line...the boys up front should have their hands full

cuaplayer

nice job eagles,

Might as well finish up and win it all.

xbcdad

good work kid,
I've been wondering whether the lines were the difference makers rather than pure skill. As we know from our own experience and teams like Theil, size isn't everything, but if those guys can use their feet it could be very disruptive to an offense. Good D lines can keep teams in games and get turnovers and good O lines can make stars out of good skill players.

I'm not sure what Wesley has but it seems they have the size and speed to make a difference.

My mind is going back to the Kings game a few years ago where we won with the miracle wind gust that knocked down the field goal at the end of the game. That game was a battle in the trenches all day. At least the footing should be solid for both teams... of course a muddy Jopson Field might be to our advantage ;)

"There you go again ..."  Sounds like an old Ronald Reagan speech.  lol

Premature?  Maybe, but ....

... a representative in Delaware Governor Ruth Ann Minner's office just told me it's "Delawarean."  Also, the official website of the state of Delaware, www.state.de.us, uses Delawarean in EVERY reference throughout the site.  Finally, both the Merriam-Webster and Cambridge online dictionaries say "Did you mean Delawarean?" when you type in "Delawarian."

Now, I will concede, if you do a Google search, you can find an online dictionary that says "Delawarean" or "Delawarian."   So, on that point, you are correct.  I'm no lexicographer, but personally I'll go with Governor Minner's office, the official website of the State of Delaware, Merriam-Webster and Cambridge.  Feel free to hang your hat on whichever nail makes you happy.  :)

...and all this started with a simple reference to a Taxi episode.  ;D

FWIW, I still like Delawarite better.

Typical spoiled HSC boy, wasting that much effort to straighten out one freaking letter so he doesn't look like such a schmuck for making corrections to inconsequential things. :)
