Congratulations to Wesley and Bridgewater for fine seasons.  Good luck to the Wolverines next week.  BC - I know you guys will be back strong in '06.  I also  know the Eagles and their fans are disappointed today, but there are lots of teams and thousands of fans who only wish their team was in the Top 8 in the country!

The Eagles gave the ODAC two more playoff wins this year and that's not too shabby!   Thanks

Just got back from Dover.  Wesley has a beautiful stadium and the atmosphere was great!

Wesley is just plain sick ... big, fast, very talented at every position.  As Mr. Cummings said to me after the game, Wesley showed no weakness anywhere on the field.  I can't believe the type of athletes they got to go there ... especially their wideouts and defensive linemen.  Half of their guys at those two positions should be at the DI-AA level.  Bridgewater did everything they could ... we just got plain whipped up on by a much better team!

EXCELLENT season Eagles!    No player or position or side of the ball is to blame for the outcome other than Wesley just being the better team.  I felt like I was watching us play a DI-AA team.

Good luck to Wesley versus UW-Whitewater!!  You guys definitely have a legit shot at winning it all.  I'll actually be surprised if you don't.

  Wow!! Wish some of our FANS were as gracious winning as you are losing!!!  But ... NAW iI won't got there.. Was a great day for the Wolverines. I tried to find LLAma but the crowd was big and I needed to stay in my seat . At least until I had tyo move my car 3 miles away at the half . National Guard.!!!  Made it back just in time for them to announce they WEREN"T towing cars !!! I was impressed with how big a fan base you had there..   I think now you see why we think our team is good.  What a huge crowd today.  Had a nice chat with a few of you fans

Now that I have thawed out, I wanted to offer some thoughts on the game...but Kid beat me to it...ditto everything he said.  They are big, fast, and quick.  #24 was superquick and man can he scoot!

Huge credit for their response to the BC 99 yard TD pass...first play from scrimage after that Wesley took it about the length of the field, and scored right after...took the wind right out of our sails.

The comment that about summed up the day:  As I was leaving I heard a couple of BC fans in front of me, talking about what might have gone differently:
BC Fan 1: "What kind of score do  you think it would be if we had hit that first FG and gotten ahead?
BC Fan 2: 46-10

There are some games where you can point to this or that and things would have been different...but not today.  Great game Wesley, and good luck in Wisconsin!

BC Eagles, you had a great year, won eleven in row, went to the final 8.  A lot of teams would trade to have that kind of year.  Work hard and come back strong next year!

BTW, got to Dover early and had breakfast at a place called the Country Eatery just to the College side of the Dover Speedway.  Great food, great services, reasonable prices!

I think you guys deserve to be excited about your team ... heck of a squad you have there in Dover. 

I'm sure there were some non-gracious and obnoxious Bridgewater fans in 2001 when we made our deep run in the playoffs for the first time.  Wesley has been on the verge of having a great season the past six or seven years, and this seems to be that year.  That seems to get students to drink a little more and fans to become more vocal.  It happens, no biggie.  I had a Wesley student walk around to the BC side, come up to me (seeing I had a BC jersey on), ask to shake my hand and with a smile said "sorry you guys suck so much."  I just shook his hand and said great game and walked on.  I'll give him the benefit of the doubt seeing he was stumbling.

A handful of students don't represent the fans of a school.  The atmosphere was awesome and the outcome should make you all excited about the remainder of this season and seasons to come.

Bring the title back to the South!

The score from the Texas-Colorado game today is a good example of what happened today in the Wesley-Bridgewater game.  Both Texas and Colorado are good football teams seeing they made it to the Big 12 Championship game ... but clearly Texas was the better team winning 70-3.

Same thing can be said Bridgewater and Wesley who played their way to the South Region Championship game ... but Wesley was simply the better team.
