Maybe we can have a d3football.com outing some time or if we meet in an exhibition game early in the season some of us can get together for some golf by day...hold'em by night...and drink by well all day and night!

Sounds fun but I don't know if I can "Run with Da Bull" all day and night! :o

Anyone see the Richmond Times-Dispatch today?  In this years' awards handed out by the Touchdown Club of Richmond "...Bridgewater's Paul Getty and Virginia State's P.J. Berry tied for offensive lineman honors..."

Ummm.....ok.

Richmond TD Club honors Getty

The offensive lineman award also includes tight ends and wide receivers. Getty will share the award with Virginia State wide receiver P.J. Berry. Berry played his freshman season at Bridgewater College.

Of course.  WRs and TEs usually line up on the line, not a quarter of the way back, or a half of the way back.  So, naturally, they're linemen.

... Played in 1 ODAC tourney for the legendary LB Neal, LOL. :o
Played for Lamar?  In which case you got one of the more interesting education alternatives Bridgewater offered!  By that time did he wear a cap on the course, or did he pop on one of his old rugs?
NO, Tusky, You cannot MOON Dr. Geisert!

I am a Lamar Neal fan even though I finished with an 85 in one of his classes and got a C even though I was #5 out of 50 among the students.
I was in his classroom the day after the 1994 Contract with America elections and my friends gave him some grief.

I'm surprised Rugby Guy didn't think of that.  Or hasa.  Or frank.

I, too, am a Lamar fan...took numerous classes with him but fortunately never really got the sharp end of his sometimes capricious grading practices.  I asked above as while I was at BC he wore this terrible toupe, which I once got to see lifted off his head by a student at the late, lamented Elbow Room.   He started to not use the rug in my senior year, and sometime after I left he dumped the rug completely, but I am not clear when that was...

Actually kid, I did think about it.  They COULD be considered linemen, but the whole purpose of the line is to block, and receivers are notoriously bad at that.  When I couple that with the fact that receivers can line up either on the line (flanker) or in the backfield (slot or wing), I would place them either with the backs or in their own category of ..... perhaps......oh, I don't know......receiver?   Besides, why would you put the smallest, most athletic guys in the field in the same category as the fatties?  It's just not a fair comparison.

Llama....that old man rocked.  Best bookie I ever had.

Actually, I did think of it, but I am trying to promote a "kinder, gentler" ODAC message board for the holidays.  Don't worry, I won't hold up all the way to Christmas.  lol

LLAMAGUY, SKOAL, HUG and other Stone Stationers...

Just talked to one of your biggest fans and honorary members - Chad Seals.  He's coming into town on Saturday for his high school, William Campbell, which plays in the state championship game at 12:30 p.m. at JMU.  Anyhow, he wanted to see if you guys wanted to open The Station over at JMU as he will be in around 11 a.m. He says he'll provide whatever you need as he would love to see you guys. He says his team is very good and they have Charles Haley's nephew playing for them.  Let me know what you think...

I never saw him at a course? Only at "The Players Club" in the Burg on Wednesday nights. That red prelude ride to and from was part of my recruitment to the golf team. ;D ;D ;D

Ye olde ouch!  Thou assaulteth my soul, Brother Rugby Guy.  May the Lord protect thee and not smiteth the sacred karma thou holdeth so dear.  'Tis the Holiest of Seasons, so I shall muster my strength to refrain in His Holy Name from further polemic discourse until the Feast of the Nativity is past.  The Lord knoweth my worldly frailties, however, and my human inability to steadfastly labor without verbal retort throughout the fortnight of Christmas and I pray for His Sustenance and Wisdom.

(Translation: - That hurts!  Watch that karma drop like a rock every 12 hours like clockwork, bro!  I'll break bad in another day or two - give me time.  Santa's not gonna drop anything down my chimney anyway, so what the heck!  I'll never make it 'til New Year, so just be patient.  Quaker, Smaker ... I want to verbally smack somebody!  lol)
