Wesley and Rowan have good teams, but I think the home field advantage, December weather and tradition all favor UW-W and Mt. Union.  What do you think?

I think Wesley and Rowan have already played in their fair share of weathered-games (have you seen those Rowan photos on the front of D3football.com?  Burrrr!).

And I'd consider Rowan in having as much tradition as mighty Mount (the Profs have been the Beast of the East since 1993).

Anywho ... I'm hoping Wesley is as up for the UW-W game as they were for BC ... if so, I think it will be a close one.  Clearly UW-W and MUC are favored ... but I like Wesley and Rowan to keep them close (Wesley more so than Rowan).

I'm going to the Stagg Bowl regardless of who is in it.  I'd love to see the team we lost to go all the way, but the hype of a UW-W/MUC game would be pretty sweet.

kid - All your points are valid.  I did, in fact, see the photos on the front of d3football - brrrr is right!  As cold as the mid-Atlantic can be, however, Wisconsin in December is worse.  Been there, done that!  lol  When I was talking about tradition, I was mainly referring to MUC - sorry I didn't clarify that  point - but you're correct, the Profs have a healthy dose of postseason success as well.  This weekend should be very interesting, but I see the Warhawks and the Purple Raiders in Salem eight days from now.

RG, that next play would not have had the dynamics it did if it weren't for the clock
incident.  If you guys wouldn't always feel the need to step up and defend the clock
issue, it would probably die.

Are the semis on TV at all this weekend?????  It would be a perfect time to air
them on ESPN or FoxSports.  I know they'll probably air the other divisions but
there are plenty of timeslots.

I'm in GA but am traveling home to VA for the Holidays, want to try and make to
Stagg Bowl.

Very nice run this year BC.

I guess CSTV is showing an LSU/Auburn Men's hoops game from 1992 instead of a D3 semifinal. Too bad.

Good point, Casper.  And the clock incident wouldn't have been an issue if the refs had correctly given Cruz the TD on 4th down.

It was a wash, and evened out.  Thanks for helping put the clock issue finally to rest.

:-)

Jury's still out on whether or not I'll be able to make the Stagg, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  Would be nice to meet the D3 posters I've yet to meet in person.

Congratulations to Nick Bublavi for being named the D3Football.com South Region Co-Offensive Player of the Year. A lot of other ODAC players made the list, including Ricca, Washington, Sitterson, Dull, and Stutz on the first team.

hasanova,
I think I can definitely save you a brownie.  I have heard something about  chicken, macaroni & cheese, brownies, etc. GCol has said something about coming up as well.  That would be a shot in the arm!

Saturday approaches.  Who will win the 2 semifinals? What say you?
Thanks.  All sounds good!  Wesley and Rowan have good teams, but I think the home field advantage, December weather and tradition all favor UW-W and Mt. Union.  What do you think?

I rather think that WW and MUC have the definite advantage.  I think if there is to be an upset, it would more likely be Wesley rather than Rowan, because they are so hungry for this opportunity.  I think I'm going to try and listen to Pat as I grade papers tomorrow.  He said the game would be on the site.  At least I think that is what he said.  I think that WW has had the toughest road to get there so far.  That  Western brackette was really stacked!  But, as they say, that's why they play the game.  Hope to see you next Saturday.

Agreed Ric;however, it was the NCAA who had the right to overturn the decision on the field after they saw the tape! Yes Rowan got screwed on that play but to hear people over and over blame the BC Football Team for wrong doing is just plain Bullchit!!!
I think BC as a program has moved on to the tune of 10 playoff wins since 2000 a feat less than a handful teams nationwide has done. I agree I am through with the play but know it will come up every year at playoff time. Hell as long as you'all keep bringing it up thats cool because it means thats another year we are in the post season. ;)

Not actually true. There is no provision for such in the bylaws.
