Karma nazi! The season is over Pat. Have all you want. It takes a real man to smite every post that points out your cute little inconsequential retorts.

I smited once for your condescending last sentence in your 6:51:17 post. Perhaps your argument put off other people as well.

Yeah you know I'm one of those posters who goes around talking crap and has never posted anything relevant on this site. WHATEVER! It should be called Pat instead of karma because it is obviously used by you more than anyone on this site. Atleast in a negative sense. Oh well, I'm done now. Sorry for being condescending but anyone who follows D3football or Mt Union knows that Kinnard came home to play in Alliance.

I disagree. I have answered the Larry Kinnard question many times in the past six years, and Ric has probably witnessed most of them. There's a lot of assumptions and ignorance out there about it.

I've karma'ed five times in the past 12 hours, three positive and two negative. That is the second-most usage, yes, but only because desertcat1 hasn't been on in a while. :) My karma usage does account for a whole 3% of the total karma usage on the board, so I can see where your impression comes from. Or not. :)

I'll be honest, I don't understand the argument here between Kinnard et al.

He was very good.  And he had at least an opportunity to play in some regard in Columbus...and not at Capital.

But beyond that - this much is clear.  Schools that manage to bring in D1-AA transfers succeed.

Mount Union
Rowan
Linfield

Just to think of a few...

As for the UW's, I almost view the conference as D2, in every sport.  In Pennsylvania, the (Edinboro, California, Indiana, Mansfield, East Stroudsburg, Shippensburg, Bloomsburg, West Chester, Slippery Rock, Lock Haven, Clarion) University of Pennsylvania are all D2.

The WIAC also must have the most students to draw from for D3 athletics.  Not surprising they have done so well on the national stage.  As for football, the theory that they beat up on each other has held strong given overall success in breaking through consistently...it hasn't happened.

It can make you think twice about picking against UWW - because they've done so well this year, given past playoff history of the WIAC (one Stagg Bowl win in two appearances from 32 previous championship games)...maybe they are special.

Oh where did I start...transfers...

If you want a little bang in your ying yang, come along.

Vogelbach did transfer from East Carolina to Guilford right?

Yes, he was redshirted at ECU in 2004 and, as far as I know, never played a down for the Pirates.  I heard Josh Vogelbach's father was a teammate of Guilford Assistant Coach Pat Randolph when they both played for Don Nehlen at West Virginia University in the 1980's.

He definitely transferred...and the rest of the story seems correct based on my recollection of a conversation with Coach Kiesel.

The whole transfer situation can be summed up in the name of a horse that runs in Philly...

Sumgotitsomedontido...

As long as the NCAA allows it, schools who have the transfers (and the success they tend to bring) will think it adds to their program...and the opposite for those who don't get them.

I am intrigued to see if more decide to take the approach of Pierre Garcon who transferred from Norwich to Mount Union...

What BC posters are heading to Salem this weekend?

I'll be there sporting my Eagles jersey!

Congrats to all who made the south region team.

Anyone else notice that 6 ODAC players made first team offense. Nice job fellas.

That would be interesting...although I would be interested in just seeing a list of all transfers to D3 schools (say over the last ten years) with reasons or speculation about why the transfer took place.

Llamaguy and I will be there!  Should be fun!  Fire Pit and BBQ Chicken!!!  Rugbyguy is considering it.  He just can't decide whether it should be creamy or chunky?

Vogelbach yea..... And let's hope he stays there. Vogelbach is one of 2 D1 guys to transfer to GC that were tops in the game. One being Mr Glidomatic....(Kinney) the best reciever "I" ever saw in the ODAC. I am sure many arguments will be made but I said I.

You know it!  It's been a while but I've been lurking here and there.  Just trying to dry out a bit from a long prosperous tailgating season.

Come on Hasanova, give us something harder.  That took about ten seconds.

Merry Christmas to you too.
