Jeremy,
I understand your claim that BC SHOULD be ranked 11th, but for the record books they're 12th although I THINK they should be at least around 9th or 10th, it doesn't mean a damn thing!  :)

If Ricca moves to HSC, it will be interesting to see how Marty molds or changes the system to fit a much larger QB.  Maybe they'll let this Ricca run a bit? Thoughts?

This Ricca won't be running much...J.D. was definitely the more athletic of the two, but Keith probably has a better arm.

Kid...This talk about Keith Ricca moving to HSC next year...I'm sure you got that information before any rumblings about Tom Clark leaving?
Anybody remember that Marty Favret is a Catholic alumnus, and that he could continue coaching a Ricca if he moved back home to DC to coach Catholic? With J.D., Clemmons, Singh, Junes, Dull, Rolander, etc. gone from HSC over the last few years, now might be a more opportunistic time for Marty to make a move back to Catholic than it would have during the other coaching vavancies at Catholic.

Congrats to Bridgewater for finishing as a consensus top 12 team.

AFCA released their final poll, with the Eagles ranked 11th.

Earlier in the week, BC was ranked #9 by the Football Gazette and #12 by D3football.com.

Tom Clark must be looking at a D 1-AA job. Why else would he leave while Ricca has 3 years left? (Other than Bublavi  getting his degree.)

According to muchacho, he's going to Liberty U. in Lynchburg, which is DI-AA.
At Liberty will Clark be a defensive coordinator again?
NO, Tusky, You cannot MOON Dr. Geisert!

CUA's press release on Clark's departure. No news on what his future plans are here.

Liberty just hired Danny Rocco as their head football coach on December, 2nd. He was a linebackers coach at UVA, and I don't know if he would be coordinating the defense himself, or if he would hire a D-coordinator. Coach Clark was D-coordinator at W&M, but he has coached offense back in his HS coaching days and at Catholic for several years. He did have the #1 passing offense in D3, so he might be able to coach on either side of the ball at Liberty.

If Clark goes to Liberty, it's possible Ricca may follow him there rather than HSC. Just food for thought, no particular inside knowledge at play.

I don't know if anyone on here followed the Liberty Flames Football Team this past year but it was not a pretty site.  I know Ken Karcher had no choice to leave and that with the new hiring of Rocco, Dr. Falwell want's to take this program "big time" as in D-IA over time.  It's going to be a long road based on what I saw this past year?  Can they do it?  No question they can do it.  The question is what is the time-table.  I think Ricca could flourish at a Liberty University.  I also think there is not much difference (if any) between D1-AA football players and D3 Football Players except that D1-AA is getting Athletic Scholarships.  I would also bet that if you took the top 10 teams in D3 tooball's final poll and let them play a Liberty or VMI, I'd bet D3 would win over half of them easily.

Where was I?  Anyway, it will be interesting how it all plays out.

Skoal...where was you? I'll tell you where you was....you was smoking whacky weed with the last post......You're taking the top 10 d3 teams and comparing them to the likes of VMI and LU and using that to say there is not much difference between d3 and d1aa...whacky weed!!!!!!!

How about comparing the top 10 d3 teams to the A-10????? How about Bridgeatwer vs Maine? CNU vs W&M....blowouts as in the Ravens Pakers game last night!!

Well, sure, but the A-10 is the elite of I-AA scholarship football too.

I think you're ready to publish www.DIAAfootball.com.  Only about 120 schools.

Let me know when you want to get started! :)

As soon as that Roanoke TV station calls me my 2 ODAC title game tapes will be on the way.

The Coaches have HSC #31 (top 32 make playoffs) and W&L #42 with a vote for #25.
Not sure if Ohio Northern is eligible in that poll however.

You want to talk to Dave Ross! He is a great guy and does the play-by-play on both games. I have the 2005 HSC game on DVD and the W&L game on VHS complete with replays. ;) I've enjoyed every minute, several times.

But Favret is going to be hired as the next VMI coach, right?  :o ;D
