Wasn't Sangfroid the guy who wrote about young boys wanting to have sex with their mothers?
Yeah, I think you're right.  A lot of people don't know this, but Sangfroid's first cousin, Sigmund Freud, was a tight end at Catholic when a guy named Oedipus was QB back in the 1920's.  The priest coaching the Cardinals thought the QB was making too many passes at Freud, so he told him to do a couple of Hail Mary's and a crossing pattern instead.
Hasanova, I've got to say, you've definitely brought a unique flare to the off-season discussions :)  You should have brought some of this into the Ricca-Washington saga earlier this season!
Thanks - I appreciate that.  I like football and wordplay - so why not have fun with both?  Maybe I did miss an opportunity with Ricca and Washington, so how about this?:

Don Hansen released his Football Gazette All-America Team today.  From the ODAC:

1st Team:
Nick Bublavi, Catholic WR
Paul Getty, Bridgewater OG

2nd Team:
J.D. Ricca, H-SC QB
Chris Barnette, Guilford WR
Stuart Sitterson, W&L KR
Nick Bublavi, Catholic AP (haha, he was named twice ... too funny)

Honorable Mention:
Marcus Washington, Bridgewater RB
Ben Dull, H-SC TE
Jack Martin, W&L WR
Zeke Traylor, H-SC OG

Sad that we have nine offensive players but no defensive ones.

I voted that nobody would, but only because after the first conference win, it won't be a 35-game winning streak anymore. :)

so far the only 3 votes not for "no one will" are from the 3 teams most unlikely to beat us... interesting

Well I guess we've got Pat's pick for the BC-HSC showdown :)

I haven't checked the board for a while and am still stoked to see one of my favorite words, "ennui," referenced.

Ever heard it used in a song...Frank Sinatra popularized a song with "ennui" used...I was uber-impressed...of course, he didn't write it, but it still sticks out in my mind. Now if anyone can use "sangfroid" in a song, I'll be bowled over...
OK, Pat, how scary would it be if our readers can use "triskaidekaphobia" and "paraskavedekatriaphobia" in a song before midnight tonight?  :)  Perhaps Sigmund Freud (or his "cousin" Sangfroid) could!  lol

I scored tickets to the Denver- New England game. 10 yd line. Look for the fat guy in black wearing a white Quacker Hat with vomit (hopefully mine) on it.

I had to take an Air Force guy too just to keep up the appearance that I accept someone in a supporting role.

Plummer scares me..........

Now don't you go and run out and tackle my Tom Brady!!!  I might miscontrue that as unfriendly :) :) :)  Have a great time.  Hopefully I'll be a lot warmer and can spot you in the stands!!!  And especially hands off on my favorite player of all  TEDY BRUSCHI. (sp) I'm sure he is still out with his injury, but no fair tackling him on the sidelines just because he is there.  Go Patriots!!
