You have given and excellent an almost sentimental outlook for next year . Kinda like a Frank Capra movie. Damn English Porfessors. ;)

I have to agree with your didatic soliloquy on the order of Pericles during the 429 post Atheian sub victory near Attica because I got excited; however, it is said almost every year, they need they need.

With one exception. Vogelbach is not just a real college quarterback but a probable great one. 1st Priority: They got to get some hogs from SC to shore him up. 2nd Priority: They got to get the DBs from Brandan FLA. 3rd Priority They need 6'1 200lb runners as LB's. Those can be found on the East Coast of NC. New Bern High, Havelock, Greenville Rose.  And one bad boy to run the ball into the middle so he use more play action.

So they got some holes. Barnett's big ass stays healthy and he can just throw it up.

2-8 would be alright with me as long as BC and HSC goes down...right Llama? :D

:(:(:( not alright for BC but  :) :) :) for HS

I would think all you Guilford folks would prefer 9-1 (loss to BC) and a pool c, but hey to each his own...

Hey, to be honest, I want GC to beat BC and HSC just because I'm pretty tired of losing to them.  You're right, however, I'll take a 9-1 finish and a Pool C playoff bid over a 2-8 finish with wins over the Eagles and Tigers any season!  I agreed with abnrgr on what the Quakers need to win in 2006, but not necessarily on everything!  lol

I would love to see GC go 9-1.. I'd love to see another ODAC team make the playoffs.. as long as they lose to BC!  :)   Is the GC schedule tough enough to catch the eyes of the NCAA at 9-1?

I haven't seen the 2006 schedule for the Quakers - for some reason GC always seem to publish it late in my opinion.  Last year, besides the six ODAC opponents, they played four USASAC foes.  Guilford and Greenboro are a lock because that's an annual intracity rivalry.  The other three last year were Methodist, Averett and Ferrum.  Personally, I'd like to see Guilford mix it up a bit, but I know those four non-conference games are popular with the AD because of the relatively short travel time and minimal expense.  Last year, Ferrum was 9-1 (9-2 after first-round playoff loss), Methodist 8-2, Averett 7-3 and Greensboro 1-9.  The Quakers played all four in the first five games in 2005 and only won against the Pride.   Maybe we can do better in 2006.

So, Hasanova,
Where are you?  Guilford is up here for 4 games.  They were at BC today.  BC won the girls game and GC won the guys game.  GC really looked good out there.  I met Ben Strong's parents.  They sat near me during the game.  Caleb (#13) is an extremely capable floor leader and can he shoot?  They looked so good today.  They passed well, they made good shot selections, and they made their shots, they know how to  get both offensive and defensive rebounds.  It was a total team effort.  Ben Strong looked great.  He did well even away from the basket.  I was impressed.  The less said about how we did the better. :( :(  I kept asking if Hasanova were there and whether anyone knew Hasanova or GCOL.  Andy, with the team(but I don't know if he's a player, coach, assistant or whatever--they all look so young!), says that he met you the other week.  I told him that we had a brownie date for the football game in the fall down at Guilford.  That put a smile on his face, so I brought out some brownies as I had made 5 pans for the Eagle Club lucnh and dinner pre-games festivities.    Tomorrow they play at EMU who lost to E&H by a point today.  Just thought I would ask about you.   ;D ;D ;D  Sending e-brownies, which is pretty good, considering your team stomped mine today. :(   Hasta Hasa!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

How was the halftime show? Don't forget the officials calls.

QuoteDon't forget the officials calls.

I heard Bill Leavy and his crew were getting Super Bowl rings too. Congrats to Pittsburgh, but the officials might have altered the outcome of the game with some of their decisions last night.
Now does Outsider the former WR disagree with the offensive PI in the first half, or is he a blind Steelers fan?

Congratulations to CUA's 2nd Team All ODAC defensive back Nick Olivero for being named the CAC Basketball Player of the Week coming after his first start of the year. The kid is nasty on the court and on the field, and I can't wait to see him on the gridiron again this fall for the Cards.

skipped halftime to eat. i didn't go to the game to watch the rolling stones. and that was a pushoff, however subtle it may have been... if you want to push off and not get caught you push at the waist, not the shoulders or torso where it will be obvious that you pushed, like that one was. he moved the DB... plus i don't know how an official can miss something that happens less that 5 yards in front of him when that's what he's watching. now, roethlisberger's TD? cannot be overruled  8)

Wow, Outsider, who knew there was some beauty in your family!?!?!  Your sister definitely makes up for the male side of the Colbert family!  ;) ;D  (Kidding of course)

Very cool picture by the way... it's too bad you can't copy/save the picture off of the ESPN site.

It would lose a lot of the quality, but he could always use the <Print Screen> key and paste it into a photo program to create jpeg, like this;
