Thank goodness I got Direct TV the other week!

Jermaine's NFL Europe game will also be playing on Direct TV's NFL Total Access (channel 212).

I already have two TVs in the living room, one for NCAA bball and the other for Jermaine's game. :)

I'll have a report following the game!

It was fun being able to watch Jermaine Taylor in his first NFL Europe game.  He started and was one of the captains for the Thunder during the coin toss.

The Berlin Thunder (1-0) won 33-29 over the Amsterdam Admirals (0-1) on Saturday night.

Taylor played virtually the entire game, at outside linebacker and on special teams.  He had four total tackles (three at linebacker and one during special teams).

The Thunder will host the Rhein Fire on March 25.  The game will be televised on the NFL Network starting at 8:00 pm.

I sure didn't. :(  I don't have any of that "fancy" hardware to be able to (not even a VCR).

"All you have to do" is order Direct TV (or the Dish Network) over the next three months ($42/month) to catch most - if not all - of his games.

You're a college professor.  I know you have that kind of bling. :)

I watched the game too (on Adelphia in HD!).  Jermaine had one really nice tackle right at the line of scrimmage early in the game but didn't see a whole lot of action his way most of the night.  It was also interesting to see that Lang Campbell is on his team.  He's from Winchester and played at W&M.  The game was also pretty decent.  Definitely not the NFL we know and love, but better than I thought it would be.  I'll watch more for sure.

Rich Musinski is also on that team; he played WR w/ Lang and myself at w&m. He was allocated by the Patriots. I didn't get a chance to watch the game, but it sounds like my boys represented well...

Yeah they did O! Musinski had a TD and several deep slants for long yardage over the middle. The announcers even wondered how he was getting that open? Then they alluded to the cover 2. :o
On a side note, they said this was the coldest game ever played in the history of the league. It was 32 degrees Farenheit, LOL! Guess they don't have days like you guys did in Williamsport,PA a few years ago. Now that was damn cold. ;)

I sent one my players the odac way a few weeks ago and I guess that is where he wants to be.  I think he committed??

Hey guys, (That includes you gal and you olinemom and all other female posters, of course!)

I've been just a little busy with tax season, so I haven't kept up on the postings here, but it looks like no one has mentioned that my beloved Green Bay Packers just signed John Carroll's Tom Arth.  He is probably there just to fill a temporary need.  The Pack only has one QB (Aaron Rodgers) at their minicamp, so they need someone to throw the pigskin around.  But that is a big chance for a D3 player to get his foot in the door.  The Packers need a third-string QB now, so maybe he can make a good impression and make the 53 man roster in the fall.

Looking forward to Stone Station in September!

To say that the only people that go are die-hards and a few locals is just asinine, uninformed or a combination of both.  The worst game attendance in the run of Salem Staggs was between UMHB and Linfield in 2004.  In other words, the one time the Stagg featured two teams west of the Mississippi, the attendance suffered in the southeast setting.

Enlighten us then.  Who does go to the games in Salem and from where?  Who outside of the teams invovled, Pat, the NCAA flaks, and a few locals, will show up for the game?  Is it the kind of place that people who simply like D3 football might decide to go to meet friends and enjoy the game?  How many times have you and others not associated with the teams playing gone to Salem for the game?

The Thunder-Fire game is over (tonight's 8 pm telecast is tape delayed).

Taylor had an amazing game.  I'll leave it at that.  If you want to know more, check my blog out.  If not (like pakownr97 and those wanting to watch tonight), don't. :)

It was nice to see him in on the passing downs this week and he even had a few plays at middle linebacker. Its not proven NFL talent he is playing with but the world is watching so what better look could he be getting right now? ;)

The most telling play for me was the fake punt in the first half. Jermaine was lined up to block in the interior line for Berlin, the guy he was blocking was about 6 inches taller and 100 lbs heavier. As the play starts the two engage and Jermaine had his helmet pushed off his head, he never disengaged and held his block until the play was over. Last night reminded me alot of how he played at Bridgewater, always in on almost every tackle.
