Can they just put out rumors like that or do they have to have some proof? If not true seems like that should be illegal.

I think all you can do is complain to them. I doubt it's actionable, but who knows.

FootballScoop.com is a pretty reliable source for coaching information, as far as I know.  If they didn't feel their source for that information was legit, they wouldn't have bothered reporting it.

I guess we will find out soon enough.

I actually live and work in Lynchburg, but I do have a few connections in Ashland which I'm not afraid to use.  If you guys are going to Ashland to see the 2006 edition of the BC/R-MC game, give me a head's up a few weeks before.

ABSOLUTELY! We travel in numbers and arrive quite early for the pre-game experience. The numbers tend to worry some visiting venues, not to mention the times there is limited space and its homecoming or parents weekend.
For me the worst experience so far has to have been at HSC last year. They placed us within a small parkinglot with 3 police cars and officers waiting for someone to cross the line. Sure enough 2 gentlemen crossed the same street to use the port-a-john that the HSC tailgaiters had used all morning. You guessed it, wammo, those 2 got 12hrs in the local county jail and missed the entire game. Gotta love that all male school hospitality. ;)

Man, that's tough!!  What a way to get a Drunk in Public (DIP).  I hope they beat the wrap.  Macon's tailgating policy changes from year-to-year, so I'll have to get back to you on the updates.  Looks like I'll be doing some traveling this fall, to both Guilford and the Bridgewater games.

A lawyer lost cases he'll claim
Have rap sheets too sordid to name.
He wrapped up conviction
With homonym diction,
But says his short briefs are to blame!

Again, you gotta love a guy who can limerick off the cuff.  Improvisation.  At sometime we're gonna have to complie your Top 10. ;D

Thanks, but I think I'm only up to seven or eight good ones so far.  lol  When it comes to ample material for jokes and limericks, thank goodness for all the barristers!  :)

There once was a poster who scans
d3football for emails he pans
When bored, he just reads
'Til he finds what he needs
Then rhymes the faux pas if he can!

Lawyers are poets' best friends.
The source of terse verse never ends!
They've clearly by far
Raised the iambic bar

There is an old Guilford grad
who this morning should be quite sad
cuz if the rumors are true
and Kiesel is through
then the Quakers will again be bad.

I have no good information
That serves as a true confirmation.
You're right, if it's true ...
All Quakes would be blue,
So we'll audible winning formations!

You can tell it's the offseason here
All the verses are something to fear
I can't wait for the games
Or the calling of names
That comes after tailgate beer

Bmore BC

This year's BC recruiting class is looking as good (on paper) as the one we will graduate tomorrow, and the group of rising juniors we have.  Not counting the class of 2010, I would say the top three recruiting classes BC has ever had were;

1) class of 2002; Lutz, Cruz, Richardson, Parker, and Huffman to name a few
2) class of 2006; The recruiting class that came in after the 2001 Stagg Bowl
3) class of 2008; The likes of Highfill, Copeland, Cotton, Campo and Chaptman

Kid,

I do think that 2002 class was the best recruited. I am a little biased that the 2004 class was second best with players such as Taylor, Nelson (the 2nd best LB in the conference his junior and senior years), Lehto, and White. If Mike Kelly would have stayed in school he would of competed for player of the year and a lot of the RB might not have come to BC that graduated in 2006. But there are always what ifs......like PJ.

Eight months with no oddsmaker picking,
No punting or passing or kicking,
But I'm sure PAT's okay
When "re-verse" is in play,
And offseason ads are all sticking!

Actually, ads on the message board pay by FAR the lowest of any section on the site but the amusement factor helps. :)

I agree - I give the amusement factor six points!  If smites are any indication, however, someone must not have a sense of humor.  I hope they find one some day.   ;)
