hasanova or anyone else...

Who will be at the GC/Ferrum game in gboro this weekend?

Should be a great game to start the season. Will make a statement for one of the teams and leave the other one scracthing their heads. See y'all there.  ;D
I'll be there.  I already reserved a couple of the new seats up top.  Walk by and say "It's trenches" or "hasanova" or something and I'll say hello.  lol  I agree, it's a key game for both teams.  Go Quakers!

CUA 3 Shenadoah 0 halftime

Catholic moved the ball well in the first half, but squandered chances to open up a larger lead.  I believe the turnover margin is 1-1.

For what it's worth,
We were supposed to do this game live, but couldn't. I went anyway, and I'm blogging live from Winchester on The Daily Dose.

Are you guys here and somehow found some wireless, or are you listening?

SU is broadcasting the game over the internet.  The d3.com audio link took me to the SU broadcast.

I figured as much.

Just on the off chance there was some wireless around here, I wanted to pick it up.

I remember when I used to not care about such things ...

Congrats to CUA. Good luck to the rest of the ODAC this weekend.

I have to say that I hope the trend of solid defense shown by CUA extends into the rest of the ODAC this year.  They only gave up 100 yards and forced 3 turnovers. :)

More like SU's offense gained only 100 yards and turned it over three times. :)

Kidding aside, this game was pretty brutal to watch.  Still glad I made the trip - got to talk with Mr. Ricca (a.k.a. norton) and finally meet JD Ricca (great kid, a blast to talk with).  Also met up with K-Mack afterwards.  Not to mention was treated to some excellent pregame food (thanks!).

Beautiful night too ... no rain at all, just a little wind (mostly in the third quarter).  I'm too tired to try and breakdown where SU and CUA looked good and bad.  All I have to say is Nick Olivero for Catholic played almost the whole game.  Started at CB, RB, KR and PR.  Unreal ... looked good all night.  Haven't looked at the stats yet, but I think he had an INT, led the team in rushing yards, and obviously KR and PR yardage.  He's the second coming of Stuart Sitterson (W&L).

I'll add my congratulations to Catholic!  A win on the road to start the season is excellent.  I hope the Cardinals continue to have a good season.

Gosh, you never like to see anything like this.  I'm glad Blake sought medical attention right away and I hope he'll recover soon.  Yeah, it's a tough injury for the Eagles, but BC is a deep team.  Good luck, Blake!

Is the tailgaiting situation at McDaniel the same as it used to be where you can park and watch the game from your vehicle on the visitors side?  It was that way four years ago, but I didn't make it to the game last time we were up there.

Going to need lots of beer to keep me dry....

I've been trying to convince my wife of this little known phenomenon for years.  Drinking mass quantities of alcohol will keep you dry during a rain. I encourage all to try it.
