F&M has changed a lot since Catholic last played them. They were primarily an option team a few years back, but I'm pretty certain that has changed. They were also at the bottom end of the Centennial, but I think they've improved since then as well.

Great news about Catholic's game notes. I'm happy to see that CUA finally has a SID with a pulse. The kid they hired last year looked completely bored to have the job, and didn't improve anything. Before that they went over a full year without a SID, and the guy who vacated the post before that was more concerned with picking up the female athletes at the school, although he did decent work. Athletics at most colleges and universities is great for publicity, and subsequently enrollment, and its ridiculous to look back at how Catholic has failed to promote their athletic programs over the last few years.

The film exchange deal is only an issue if W&L sent tape under the assumption that they were getting something back, and F&M sent nothing.

F&M has nothing to send, and W&L has nothing to send, they didn't play last week.

The Generals should do pretty well, I am hoping for a margin of 17+ on Saturday.

W and L kept their scrimmage tape after their request was denied for F and M's was denied. You're right, a scrimmage tape or a tape from the season before can be somewhat arbitraty, but it is also common courtesy.

In any event, big weekend for the ODAC, and looking for everyone to keep up the good work out of conference. One way for the ODAC to get more respect and to get two teams in the playoffs is to raise the level of play conference-wide.

I can't see another ODAC team getting into the playoffs this year other than the conf. champ because the schedules this year just don't seem to be that impressive.  I am probably wrong but a team at 9-1 from the ODAC just doesn't seem like playoff material this year.   HSC couldn't pull it off the past few years and they put forward a pretty good case for being a playoff team.. so why would it be different this year?

If there were still only 3 pool C teams getting in then I would have to agree with you, Wrighthall, but since the playoffs have expanded to 7 pool c bids effective last year I think that any team with a 9-1 record has a good shot.  An 8-2 team would have to have an very tough schedule to get in over a 9-1 team.  Also consider that this year the lower end of the ODAC is winning some non-conference games (at least in week 1).  The quality of wins index is figured up by a teams opponent's record.  There is no consideration for who the opponent beat.  Let's assume for this argument that W&L is 9-1 with one loss to BC.  The QOWI makes no consideration for who some other conference team beat.  So as far as that W&L team is concerned whether RMC beat Dension or Rowan in week one is irrelevant.  It is still a win, which in the eyes of the index means that a wn for W&L in that situation would count for more.  A better QOWI would, in my opinion, be enough to get a 9-1 W&L in as a secound team out of the ODAC considering the fact that the playoffs have expanded since HSC was trying to get in at 9-1.

Who cares about how many teams possibly can make it to the playoffs, the only thing we should be concerned about is putting some W's up on the board. Worry about the playoffs at the end of the season.

I care! ;D Making the playoffs extends my tailgating season by 2 to 5 weeks each season. Maybe if BC doesn't make to the playoffs this season I'll just have to adopt the ODAC representative for tailgating purposes! :o

You know what's finny is people think I was a pretty good SID, but the guy before me (Gabe Romano) and the guy after me (Mike Graber) were both much better. But it went downhill shortly after that.

You're right.. it was a joke... because some BC folks were getting bent out of shape over bathrooms.. ???

On a serious note.. W&L scares me because they have a great team this year (or so it seems)  and they ALWAYS (at least in recent years) play BC well.. GC won't scare me until they have a great TEAM.. they have a great passing O.. but where's the D?

W&L always scares me.  Remember 2001?  Boy they almost stopped us from getting any where.  And they have some dynamite receivers and many talented position people.  I keep saying "Peter's in med school" like he was their only weapon, but in truth, they have plenty of weapons and play us hard every year.  Last year, Endzoneking6 came in and played one heck of a game for us!  I mean he was on fire.  The defense did a great job.  But we have some tough games before we even get to that game.  We need to take them one at a time.  I'm worried about Vogelbach and friends as well.  I think if we continue to play well and improve week to week then we should do well indeed.  Anyway that's my 2 brownies worth.

Speaking as one who watched you shiver in the freezing cold in Dover last November simply because you refused to cover up your BC jersey with something as mundane as an overcoat (because we know those beads will always ward off the wind!), your loyalty to school and devotion to the art of tailgating is impressive and inspires and motivates us all, and makes us wonder if a FoodNetwork special is in your future!

(cue BC pep band playing something inspirational...)

Anyone know of game notes for Guilford/Methodist or an audio stream for OWU/Catholic?  Only two things I couldn't find.
