Uncle Jessie

Hug, Thanks for the invite. Im not sure at the moment if Im going to be able to go to the game or not. My wife wants me to go with her to her friends 1 year old kid. God help me. I don't want to go to it and I much rather watch SU beat BC. ;) But what the wife wants the wife usually gets. I prob. wont make a decision on it until 11:00 tomorrow. If I do go I will make sure to stop by and say hello. Again thanks for the invite and Good luck to all ODAC teams this weekend.

p.s. I wish the USAC and ODAC would get together and have a weekend where it would be a between conference rivalry week.  Have as many USAC teams play as many ODAC teams as possible and do it for many sports as possible that week.

That would be cool U.J. .. but how would the USAC deal with all of those loses in one weekend?  :D ;)

Uncle Jessie

LOL your prob. right on that. But it cant get any worse that what the USAC did last week. I think they went a combined 1-6.

Hey 1-6 will turn itself around soon enough.   I just hope the SU fooball program picks back up in the  VERY near future.  Outside of rooting for BC, I have a heart for GC and SU.. both schools have always had great guys on their teams and always have great respect for their opponents.  :)

haha... i know what you mean. I was hoping to get over to Methodist today but gas prices, an online radio broadcast, and a last second decison swayed me. Besides.... The Tattoo Convention is in town!! ;D

... Oh and I watched "Remember the Titans" last night. I had forgotten it, but got a chuckle when I realized they had camp at Gettysburg College. HSC better get it together, or they'll always remember the day they played the "Bullets."  :o :D

Great game BC 30-0 is great.  The D sounds like they had another great game.. O came on after a bit and finished well.  Congrats guys!  Time to light up Ferrum!  Keep going strong into those ODAC games!

Trenches

#6371
Final: GC 27  MC 11

By my best estimates (guessing here some):
Vogelbach: close to 60 att, 35+ (?) comp, over 403 yds (8 in a row over 300)... finishes with 3 tds, 2 ints.
Barnette: 14 rec (makes it 25 through 2 games), 131 yds, TD
Rushing and Joyner:  Close to 10 rec (if not more) and TD each
Vaughn, P. Bobak, Webber also recorded Receptions that I know of.

Great showing by the Quakes D!!
2-0 start to the season. 7 game win streak, 7 of last 8!!

CONGRATS FELLAS!!!

Vogelbach had 403 yards, 3 TDs - over 300 yards for 8th game in a row.  Quakers win for the 6th game in a row dating to end of last season.  Congratulations Quakers, especially to the Defense.

Uncle Jessie

Well, as expected it was another Hornet loss. However I have to say I was very impressed with the freshman QB Twaun Rhodes. He seemed to keep his cool through out the game when he could had easily had freaked out facing the 13th best team in the country. I hope he gets another chance to play next week. I also liked how Barnes showed some gutzo by doing the onside kick to start off the game. The defense I couldn't ask for much more than what they did today. The score board doesn't show how well they played I don't think. Like last week they were on the field for so long it just wore them out. They did not give up 100 yards to a BC back. They played with the Eagles for much of the first half, but the stronger team took control. The Offense still has a lot of work to do. Lacey had -3 yards. They need to spread the ball more to give him a chance. This was the Hornets 9th straight loss. Yikes! When will the madness end??!! I could harp so much on the negatives but I have to look at the positives. Its a rebuilding year unfortunately it could had been a lot worse. GO HORNETS!!

Good luck to the Eagles and the rest of the ODAC family the rest of the year.

Trenches, Quakes have won 7 of last 8, but only 6 in a row.  I'm not sure what the school record is for consecutive wins.  I know they already have at least six because I was at the win over Bridgewater in the mid-80's when Guilford started the season 6-0 (we lost the 7th game).  Anyway, I can feel the momentum!  Great start to the season!
