Oh...

By the way...

Any team who remembers a five yard run by a fourth-string Bridgewater running back as time expired is a team that lacks legitimate focus.  Any fan who remembers it is just jaded in their views of their own team.

COME ON PEOPLE!!!

Llamaguy

Hey Mr. Cummings,

I'll just invite them over to the Llama Hut to watch some football. ;) I'm sure I can make them forget about that play real quick! ;D

I've seen some crazy game ending plays that generated talk, but this is definitely NOT one of them.

Shenandoah punted to BC from their own 14.  BC takes over with 1:08 to go from their own 45.

Two completely unheard-of BC running backs rush for...
No gain on 1st and 10
1 yard on 2nd and 10
5 yards on 3rd and 9
Game over.

Unheard of, eh?  Let me introduce :)

Tyler Thomas transferred from Division I-AA James Madison last year ... the sophomore fullback will most likely be the starter next season once Spence and Langley graduate (and if Matthews doesn't come back).  So you'll get to know him well in the seasons to come :)  Great kid too!

Rocket Gadsden is - IMHO - our best recruit this past offseason.  The roster says 6-foot-0, 182 pounds, but this Fort Myers, Florida freshman - when you stand near him - has to be 6'2'', 200.  Great size, and super fast ... remember, he was the one who ran for a 70+ yard touchdown in the Hargrave scrimmage (running right past 300-lb linemen and corners who could probably run the 40 in 4.5 or less.  Oh, and that TD was up the middle.  Also a great kid.  Very well spoken, heard him being interviewed by the newspaper after the scrimmage.  But anyway, he is only one of two freshman with a jersey number (the other being linebacker Arkady Kurihine).  I noticed that Shenandoah's gameday roster (and keep in mind this is how many players were wearing 1-99 on the sidelines) had 45 freshmen.

Anywho, now you've been introduced :) ... and for the record, Thomas is the 3rd-string fullback (behind Spence and Langley) and Gadsden is the 3rd-string running back (behind Washington and Carter).

Woooo Hoooo! BC steps back into the D3Football Top 25 at #25 this week.

On a side note, there are some good video clips of the game last night linked off the USA South conference thread. They are all Shenandoah highlights, but it is interesting to see what things our Defense corrected after half time.

Now if there had been highlights of BC's scoring plays, it would be like those seen daily on X-box, Playstation, and the like. Way to keep'em guessing again Coach Colbert. Reminded me alot of the 2001 Offense. Those defenses were never comfortable because they never had a clue which play was coming next.

By one point over Wooster. Albright wins by one and falls to like #29 or something.

To a team they should have beaten by 21+.

I was in the stands on the BC side, 50 yard-line. When the QB#10 went in, about half a dozen people around me all started cheering louder than they had all night.  I think the one lady was his mom.  Now I read here, that kid is a senior.  How can you not let him run a play.  Whaaaaaaaaa!

Also, the guy sitting behind me was listening the Winchester radio 95.3 or whatever.  He said the announcers were totally biased and whining about everything the whole game.  I don't have a problem with that, but don't quote him as a reliable imparial observer.

After seeing my team blow a 19 point halftime lead the prior week, I'm glad to see them bounce back with a great second half in week 2.

Well said Llama.  That was a fun game to watch!  We might have given future opponents a lot of our specialty plays, but it's also a good thing ... they can't prepare for everything we threw at the Hornets.  Shoot, had Blake Warring gotten to the endzone (he was pushed out inside the 5-yard line), then we would have had four players (two non-QBs) score passing touchdowns.

Special thanks to Llama and Kid for the hospitality at Stone Station-Winchester.  And to the drunk guys playing "golf horseshoes" or whatever it was.  I enjoyed the entertainment.

Thanks again.

Another side note no one has mentioned yet.  HSC drops one in the poll to #24.  That's rich!  I love it.  Can't wait until Oct. 1st.  Come Oct. 2nd, HSC won't be found in the top 40 of the D3Football.com poll.  Nothing like scheduling "whipping posts" during your first few games.  Stat Padders.......Granted, they are putting up some good numbers but give me a break.....

Opps!  I forgot we play George Mason Club team in two weeks.  My bad!!! ;)

The stats won't officially count (by the NCAA) for that game though :)

I know Kid.  You told me that at the McDaniel game.  Twice.  I was trying to play down the fact that HSC really has some scrubs scheduled before they meet us.  I didn't want them to bring that up before me.  It was what I like to call an "angle" at a good ribbing without giving them the chance to come back on us regarding the George Mason game. You follow?

I am E&H's Step Son....Peace!!!

Thanks for the hospitality Llama...that HD tv really does have a great picture.   ;)

Stone Station was rocking, even though Skoal was missed.  Kid was getting the cards...it was rough.

Rugby Guy

Kid WAS getting the cards.  I am seriously considering not playing against him anymore.  Lucky lucky lucky.
