I know Kid.  You told me that at the McDaniel game.  Twice. [...]

I mentioned it once.  You probably started "hearing things" after your 15th brewsky.  ;)

After my fifth place finish last week at the poker table, I'm on a two game win streak ... who wants to be my next victims?! :)

Pakownr97-  It was redneck horshoes man.

Congrats BC on an impressive win last night.  I am just checkin the board for the first time since the game.  i know enough has already been said about the last play of the game, so i wont even get into it about coach Clark being trash.  Barnes not only almost attacked burnett, but ran by coach clark after the game, merely "slapping hands" and not shaking or stopping for the normal congratulations.  I know its tough to find out your team cant hang with the big dogs for another year, but that seems a little "trashy" to me.  ENOUGH!!!

The defense needs to make sure they dont have a concentration lapse in each game and we will be good to go.  Good luck next weekend at Hanover fellas.

Thanks for the hospitality Llama...that HD tv really does have a great picture.   ;)

Stone Station was rocking, even though Skoal was missed.  Kid was getting the cards...it was rough.

Anytime Pat!  Keep in mind this was a "roadtrip" for Stone Station, it rocks even louder and larger at home. Hopefully we can get you down to Jopson for another playoff game in the near future. (But we still have much work to be done before we talk playoffs this year) Stone Station, still campaining for "D3Football Tailgaters of the Year", one beer at a time!

Kid, I thought you were good with stats.  You missed that by many!!!!   And I'm game for the next game....You will have to crap that horse shoe sooner or later....Or is horseshoe one word?

Cummings:  I missed hanging too!  Can't wait until Oct. 1st.....

Congratulations to HSC on getting win #2.

Congratulations to BC and W&L as well...

Just want to make one point that comes up every week from somebody:
scheduling - it is done in ADVANCE, YEARS IN ADVANCE (sometimes up to 4 years in advance).

Step 3 this week... make it count.

That's true 1, but HSC's still fair game to get ragged about the early season scheduling.  Salisbury used to get ripped for it...they've changed their scheduling.  Sewanee hasn't had a winning season since 2000 (6-4), and you'd have to travel farther back to find a winning season for Gettysburg.  Now that HSC is consistently pulling in 8+ win seasons, has there even been attempt to find better early season opponents...I can't believe that they'd be stuck in a decade long contract.

On the other-hand, sometimes you hate to give up the matchups that you have every year, especially if a rivalry has developed.  Is this the case for HSC with either of these teams?

A rilvalry of who wears the more expensive bow ties.

I think the National Title for expensive Bow Tie wearing goes through the ODAC. I believe W&L currently has a Mt. Unionesque streak of expensive Bow Tie wearing wins. While HSC tries their hardest to overtake the Generals,  they just can't seem to get the monkey off their back when it comes to expensive bowties.

I agree, people can rag on the schedule all they want (it is a legitimate beef)... but it is
what it is.

Gettysburg will be very competitive in their conference race.

Bottom line, every week counts (including bye weeks) in college football.

HSC football /= bowties... but you guys have fun humoring yourselves with yet another issue that gets its weekly use but has nothing to do with the program.

Bow ties better be careful...popped collars are the latest craze... :P

It is inevitable when a team or fans of a team has nothing to rip on a team about that they will turn to that team's scheduling.  Seeing as bilgewater has already laid their egg (which is nice that they did it in the early season rather than wait for the postseason--that way fans don't have to get their expectations up), their fans feel it is necessary to snipe at h-sc.  our schedule may be weaker than yours but 10-0 sure looks better than 9-1.  (not that i am saying that either team will wind up with such records but that is the best that either team can finish)

it is nice that there is a rivalry brewing with the eagles but i must stress "brewing" since, according to the h-sc media guide, our all-time record is 50-11 against bc.  you guys had your seasons in the sun while we were getting over the lean years following jobu but it looks like h-sc might just be building something.  it takes awhile to get over the hill but once you have crested it, watch the snowball grow.  hopefully this is the year we crest the hill.

C'mon #1...you've been wearing bowties since HS...I know you have a purple one...I'm thinking about getting one for JD for his birthday...lol.

It's too bad the W&L game doesn't happen until it starts to cool down...we could see who (HSC or W&L) has the most "I'm a dou--e bag" popped collars.

I went to the EHC game against Ferrum. I would like to qualify the following statements by saying that I was thrilled to see the Wasps hire Don Montgomery as a coach, but all you ODAC fans are going to have a big time playing the Wasps this year. According to Sundays article in the Courrier, the top two running backs in springball have both left the team, and the running game is absolutely terrible. The entire starting offensive line was different from game one and made no difference, and now Todd Woods is knocked out so what little passing attack they could muster is down the toliet.
Defensively, the lack of athleticism is killing this team. The DL is small and slow (the days of Jamie Harless, Chris Barbour, and Burt Torrence are long long gone), Marshall Doss played well at outside LB but none of the LB's make plays, and the secondary can not play run support against a simple speed option. Worst of all, there is no fire... no yelling, no enthusiasm on the field. As an ex player and alum, Saturday was a very sad day for me. I was very excited to see that EHC was bringing in a huge influx of recruits, but if any of them are good athletes, they need to see the field now, because the holdovers from Coach Wackers slack final recuirting years are just not quality DIII football players
