Now, now, Llama ... don't pull a CNN and not include the information I posted between "Hampden-Sydney at No. 3 Bridgewater (Va.) -" and "Bridgewater's 35-game ODAC winning streak will be in serious jeopardy."

:D

And yeah, as I said on the other thread, our streak was in jeopardy at 29, 23 and 17, the last three years when heading into the HSC game.  What's so wrong in admitting that?

Honestly though I never read the post about it being in jeopardy at 29,23,17.  ;)

If we can't get some HSC posters on here we will just have to pose as one. :o

So it was not in jeopardy heading into W&L last year?  I was at that game and BC was lucky to escape Lexington with a win.  What about two years ago at Randoph-Macon?  I believe they took us to overtime.  Both of those games were closer than the BC-HSC games in their respective years.  I believe that BC will win by at least two touchdowns because in addition to HSC's down year they have to come to Jopson field this year.  Add to that inexperiance at key positions and we have the recipie for a good solid win by Bridgewater. :)

 >:( >:( Hey, Kid!  Stop with the negative waves already!!  You are making me nervous.  I don't like to be nervous.  I may oversleep again and then there would be trouble!! Which one is going to protect the honor of Doc Jopson over the weekend from the H-S ruffians?  I think the JV team should be stationed around the statue for just that reason.  I hope the DBs are working on knocking the balls down and not going for the interceptions all the time.  We don't need to get burned this week like we did last week.  Oh and llamaguy, please can we have the good pink stuff, not the weird one?  Thanks, you are my hero!!  If chili is on for Friday night, do you want some cornbread or something to go with it or what?  I'll have brownies for Saturday (yes I am going to set my battery clock as well.  My dept is hosting our Alumni at 9:30 in the morning.  Lord, the moon will still be up, but . . .)  Let me know.  I am seriously hoping for a good weekend with a lot of people at Stone Station!!!! lol ;D ;D ;D Bedtime for the one who has an early meeting tomorrow >:(
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Llamaguy

Got the cornbread angle covered already. Spend the extra time on brownies as we are expecting 100 - 125 Eagle fans this weekend. It is Homecoming you know. Current plan is Chili/Cornbread and poker Friday night. Four Boston Butts and 80 pieces of chicken for gameday. ;) Gotta feed the hungry you know.  :o

Hey Skoal,
Don't forget that firepit, its now calling for a low of 39 degrees Friday night. We may freeze our arses off in those tents. ;D I love it though, the transition will finally be made, games 1-4, drink to sweat, games 5- the playoffs, drink to stay warm! Season Two is finally here, the conference season. Take care of business the next 7 weeks and we can move on to the best season of all, the Playoff season.

Go Eagles!

Llama,

I agree with the way you divide the seasons into three parts.  I hope the BC players understand that its time to shift into second gear for the ODAC season.  The next six games will determine our playoff position.  Our team MUST eliminate some mistakes and miscues now or we may not be around for the third and best part of the season.

GO BC (Virginia) !

That's just for you Religion Major.

I want to make a middle school remark about this, but I fear that Pat will kick me off the board for it.   ;)

Glad I am not the only immature poster on here.  Wood is just way to close to Woody for this to slip by.

(Signing off while Beavis and Butt-head laugh track plays in the background..."he said Woody, huh-huh.")

See how fast this board goes downhill once the intellectuals like Hasanova and WLU78 take a break.

C'mon back, 'Nova, its time to stop mourning Saturday's loss and come join the fun.  If not, we'll keep making adolescent jokes about firewood.

Intellectual?  Perhaps WLU78 can live up to that title.  I'm just an old farm boy from Patrick County, VA running as fast as I can to keep up.  :)

While we're on the "wood" subject, I just hope we can "stick" it to the Pride on Saturday.  How's that?  :)  For the record, I have actually never stopped making adolescent jokes about firewood and, for that matter, any number of other equally cyclindrical objects.  Also for the record, nuts and bolts are simply beyond redemption and are henceforth and unequivocably banned from further discussion on this board.  If you simply can't live without them, however, may I suggest the DVD Hardware Gone Wild:)

"Teenagers" who travel in herds
Often snicker at poorly used words.
They say, "What you utter
I'll drag through the gutter
And turn pure into purely absurd!"

PS God gave most intellectuals a great sense of humor, but, inexplicably, a much smaller audience.  C'est la vie!  Peace
