I'm not spinning anything.  I already said we couldn't beat a good team with that many turnovers.

i concur then

I look forward to seeing all the BC fans in Greensboro on Oct. 14.  I hope the Quakers can cut down on their turnovers and give the Eagles a good game.

Does anyone know the extent of Varner's injury?  Was it just something to keep him out half of a game or will it keep him out another game?

Congrats to BC on a Homecoming win!  (same goes for GC!)    I guess we won't see any Tiger-ettes for another year!  :D

It was Dawkins, the Senior starting QB that got hurt, and he's out for the season with a broken collerbone. RJ Varner is a freshman that is now thrust into the starting position. For some film on him, scroll back to Two-A-Days on MTV, and watch him at QB for Spain Park when they play Hoover in an early season matchup.

That's a pretty cool trivia fact to throw out to the other Freshman girls!  :D 8)  I've watched Two-A-Days here and there but I honestly can't stand the Hoover head coach.. he's well an ass.

Congrats to Matt Barnhart for filling my size 13, triple E shoes in compiling this week's "Around the Region."

Work has me crazier than ever and I haven't had an off day since Labor Day.  I appreciate Matt stepping up to keep it going this past week.

hasa -

Sorry, I shouldn't have directed my last post to you.  That was a general statement about the numbers (good and bad) that Vogelbach is putting up.  Sort of putting them in perspective, if you will.

You've been very honest with us about the Quakers ... more so than a handful of BC fans are about the Eagles.  We love to wear our BC-colored glasses sometimes. 8)

I think the Oct. 14 battle at Guilford will be a great one.  It will all come down to stops on the defensive side and which team can force the other's offense off the field without getting 3s or 7s.

Just a general observation about our little world here in ODAC post patterns.  I hope all of us can grow some thicker skin.

Hasa,
I think you have posted many, many times that Guilford, especially your QB makes too many mistakes.  I can relate, as I am a Green Bay Packers fan.  Vogelbach seems like a D3 Brett Favre, exciting a player as you will find, can win games for you all by himself, but forces too many throws.  I make the comparison between the two many times while reading your posts.  I do not feel like you need to defend your team at all.  Many of us on this board expected too much of Guilford this year, myself included.  Enjoy your exciting team, and hope your coaches can work on their weaknesses.  I think you have more confidence in Guilford's coaches than I have in the Packers'.

Matt,
You of all people need no reason to apologize for anything.  You help make this board what it is, perhaps as much as anyone except Pat Coleman.  I greatly appreciate all you do for that and for Bridgewater football in general.  Your comments about the BC colored glasses is true.  I sometimes feel that when I raise questions about our beloved Eagles, that I am viewed as being negative or down on our team.  Quite the contrary, everyone from BC on this board is a true fan.  True fans can constructively discuss OUR team, its good points, and yes, even the bad.  Fortunately for us, we currently have a program that gives us much more to praise than to question.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I hope all posters on this board feel free to comment on their own team or any ODAC team, whether its good or bad.  I hope that the BC fans and the GC fans can have some fun with one another the next two weeks, then get together for the best tailgating in D3, then watch our teams duke it out on the field on October 14.  May the best team win.  Here's hoping its the Bridgewater Eagles.

GO BC!

Good post, pakownr97.  I couldn't agree with you more.  If you want to see a couple of "homers," follow me over to some of the other boards.  lol  Now there are some fans who truly have rose (or insert team color here!) -glasses!  The 2006 Quakers are 3-2, but keep in mind they were only 1-4 at the same juncture last season.  I still believe the Quakers can win 7 this year, which, when you think about it, is a nice improvement over last year's 5-5.  See you on October 14.  May the team with the most points win!  PS  I hope that's the Quakers!  :)

Or maybe even Wally Pipp.  :)  Pat, don't get a headache!  Matt (call me Lou) Barnhart is tired of sitting on the bench!

R-M plays at McDaniel on October 21, that is.

Say, if one posts, but no one reads or responds, does that mean one posted at all?? ??? ??? :-\
