According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Hampden-Sydney got 2.5M from an alumnus to help build a new football stadium at 3.5M.  That should help the Tigers in many things. . . ..

Shoot, wouldn't accepting females be a good start?  That wouldn't cost an alumnus anything.

The team they have this year may be better off playing local High School  Powder Puff teams rather than ODAC teams..  :D ;)

I think Susan Sarandon and Brian Williams top me on the list of CUA alumni.

I'm sorry trenches, I have to. ..
I'm happy for y'all and your national recognition in statistical categories. that does make it interesting in guilford once again. but what are hawaii and unms's records? more stats: total offense ranking: vogelbach-1, highfill-52; passing efficiency ranking: vogelbach-71, highfill-32.
i could go on (defense, rushing, TOP, TOs...etc), but i'll stop there. BUT, you gotta start somewhere right? keep workin hard (and i'm being serious). you're on the upward swing...

oh, and, at least they're having fun 8)

I didn't type the post talking about records or anything else. Its just that with a program as old as Guilford's a a lack of recent success, it is good to see players ranked among the top in the nation in some statistics. Don't worry, I know better then to think that a player or two make the team. trust me. I have been around long enough.
That being said, hopefully some top Defensive players will see these offensive stats, realize that GC is a defensive spot here or there away from being something huge, and choose GC for next fall.  ;)

I know I've been silent lately, but I can't hold it in any longer.  Although the Wasps have made tremendous strides this year, its obvious Montgomery isn't the right man for the job.  I know all of this is contrary to what I said at the beginning of the year, but that's life.  Sometimes you have to make retractions.  This team has too much talent to be 2-3 and IMHO yesterday should've been a victory.  Unfortunately the coaches made some poor decisions offensively and defensively (i.e. whatever the hell the protection was that got Woods sacked at the end of the game, and blown calls on D that let HSC back in the game).  Why does Monty insist on running the ball when he has a great QB and a corps of great receivers? I don't think we'll ever know.  But the answer is probably similar to why Emory couldn't stop the pass late in the game.  Both teams played a physical game, but it shouldn't have been close.  Emory in the first half and Emory in the second half were two different teams.
