The purpose of this post is to inquire about this Coastal Carolina machine..... D-II? I know Kid or Pat knows off the top of their head. They seem to win alot.

abnrgr,

I'm guessing you're talking about the I-AA Coastal Carolina team.  They're a 'power' in the Big South...beat defending I-AA national champs James Madison this past weekend.

Yikes DI AA.

Might be more than we want. I saw a clip where they blew up Charleston Southern. for 3 years of existence they be bad as 4 MOFOs. Thanks for the data, but I would still like to see how BC-HSC plays up against them. I guiess I want see how good they really are. I suspect pretty good.

Could this 6'2" 210 lbs of staggering meat be an upset special. I mean this guy can see receivers.

Power is right ... went 10-1 last year, just missed the D1-AA playoffs.

DenbowsRoomie

About time I got back on here to get some W&L buzz going in the midst of the BC-HSC blabber (you might remember me as Denbow's Roomie).

The Generals offense looked solid last weekend against Alfred.  W&L stuck with the run for much of the first half...even though they did not break anything big, I think the continued use of the run early on opened things up for Tweardy for the remainder of the game.  Jack Martin had a WHALE of a game...the only flaw I remember was dropping a brilliant 25 yard pass that Tweardy laid out perfectly for him.  Tweardy meanwhile ran the W&L passing attack to perfection.  All this offense, even without the usual Colton Ward explosion!

Last year, W&L's Defense set the tone and the Offense had its struggles.  If the Alfred game is an indication, the Generals offense will be just fine this year.  If the D can make up for losing Lloyd Willson and it's other key personal, the Generals may very well compete with HSC and the ODAC elite (OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS) Eagles for the ODAC crown.

Coach Frank and his staff are doing good things in Lex.  Excited for this season!

I have to agree with you Tim. I was a little surprised to see W&L come out the blocks firing on all cylenders.  You guys very well could contend!

Tim - glad to see more GENERAL support.  Offensive Coordinator Bert O'Neal (25 years old by birth, but not by football skill!!) clearly has an axe to get the passing game rolling.  While the rushing attq still leaves something to be desired, Tweardy did a decent job distributing the ball and displaying that there are multiple threats on the offensive side of the ball even without the legendary JOHN SENSING.

Keep it rollin...

Can you smell what the CHEEKS is cooking??

GO GENERALS....

New Era-  can you do some of those crazy posts like you used to.  The one's where you had the "alter ego".  I forget the name you used but that stuff used to crack me up.

Gettysburg will be very competitive in their conference race.

Dude?  Come on.

If you had a bad game, just say you had a bad game.  Gettysburg was 1-9 last year.

You're a smart man and you were a fine football player "1" but you lose "cred" with statements like that.

Miz - it has been a long time since "RONNIE CHEEKS" graced his presence on the board....  trust that Ronnie is getting ready for some crazy special teams talk shortly, everyone needs to have an alter ego on the special teams side of the game....
