I think both of you are reading way too much into stats and you can massage numbers anyway you need to.  W&L was on the wrong end of an emotional blowout.  No big deal, and it doesn't impact their playoff potential one way or the other.

Heck, this is our first trip to postseason since the Gator Bowl.  Let's enjoy the ride!

I believe Forma80 is definitely enjoying it.

Why can't we analyze the ODAC's playoff rep?

A W&L stat you must consider...

W&L penalties - 75
Opponents' penalties - 48

If you only play like-minded institutions then you should expect to get your doors blow off in the playoffs.
blown off in the playoffs--by thugs because that is how they behave.
So only the W&L's and the Centennial Conference teams can behave and everyone else in the world is thugs? I'm sure that's not what you mean.

I was speaking of Wesley because that is where you had said they would probably be sent sometime earlier.  And they behave like thugs.  They exulted when they hurt one of our players and their fans spent the whole time harrassing us in the tailgate area, on our side of the field.  It was a singularly unpleasant afternoon which had nothing to do with the game, which didn't go well either.  I'll stand by what I said.  I experienced it as well as many other fans.  There were Wesley fans that were escorted out for their behavior on our side of the field.  I suppose perhaps it was just not knowing how to behave during a playoff game?
And no, I did not mean that all other teams were that way, only the team where we were treated like that.  We have been well treated at all the other play off places that I have attended, which is all of them except in Texas--too poor to go there.

All this being said, I will be at peace if we can get a win over Catholic this week and finish 8-2 for the season. We will come into next season with around 40 hungry Seniors who will have something to prove in '07! ;)

The question is, Llamaguy, are WE TAILGATING this weekend at Catholic?  I only ask it the second time because I have not heard anything from my first query and I need to have time to make brownies.  Please try to answer me sometime today.  That would be nice.  I have to take a class tonight at BRCC but I'll be home around 9.  THANKS IN ADVANCE!! ;D ;D ;D

Llama.....you better tighten up or the next round of brownies might be laced with something. I'm thinking probably NOT the stuff you used to find in the brownies at a Grateful Dead concert.  ;D

Atleast its double spaced so I can read it. ;)

No, it's the size:  30 points.  So I made brownies for the bus I'm riding up on.  See you tomorrow at the game!!  Brandon was so cute today, all bashful when he came to class and the TOTW list was on the door of my classroom and everybody clapped for him.  I also had written in "Props for Jeff Highfill" because without Jeff's throwing him the ball so well, he couldn't have made that record!!!

I wish we had an Olinemom in 1975 at Lees-McRae.

All we had was a coach who used to hit us with his clip board and choke us out if we missed an assignement. He beat Dino a SS so bad he was out for 2 plays

I wondor how that would work in the 21st century.

I agree with Olinemom 100%.  I have been to all the BC playoff games since 2001 and all have been neat experiences in one form or another...until Wesley last year.  Rude people!  Those Delawarites must not know how to act during playoffs.  Hopefully someone in the South will upset them so they are not our representatives in the semi-finals.

Since my team will not be in the playoffs this year, my two favorite teams will be whoever is playing Wesley and whoever is playing Rowan.  Oops, there goes my karma again.

GO BC!

Don't give up on us yet Olinemom. ;) We are going to try to set-up a small tailgate in the parkinglot beside the field, if they let us in. If not we will probably be on the street somewhere on the otherside of the field. I will have the pink stuff in tow! :o

He wouldn't have gotten by with that kind of behavior is my guess.  But in 1975 I was teaching the football players at Tulane University and having a great time.  At least when the REAL Sugar Bowl was a 100 yards away from my dorm.  I can tell you that back in the day New Orleans was such a fun city and there was nothing like the Tulane -LSU game.  We lost a lot of them, but I was on the 50 yard line when we beat them when they were supposed to clobber us.  FANTASTIC!!!  I could go on, but since some of those nice places don't exist anymore, it would be too painful .  Too a lot of things :D

Good luck to everyone tomorrow.  Play hard and give it your best.  No injuries and shake hands at midfield when it's over.  I hope W&L plays well at CWRU in their last tune-up before the playoffs.  I have to favor BC over CUA tomorrow, but the Cardinals have some playmakers and can be dangerous.  Anyway, I hope Stone Station shows DC how to tailgate!  The Game - I wish you both had winning records, but sometimes pride and bragging rights are more than enough.  Someday, I'm going to go to The Game.  :)  GC at E&H - both teams have winning records and are 3-2 in the ODAC.  Somehow 4-2 sounds a lot better than 3-3.  Quakers have a chance to go 7-3, but the Wasps remember the 42-6 loss in Greensboro last year.  Being in Emory may be a big motivator for E&H.  It should be a good game, but ... Go Quakers!  I'll be working outside all day tomorrow, but I'll check back in tomorrow night.  Peace

Good luck to Bridgewater tomorrow. This Wildcat has become a fan because of Olinemom's generosity with her tasty brownies and good luck jewelry. You guys seem like a classy bunch, too.

abnrgr,
Like you, I got thumped on the helmet with a clipboard plenty of times myself in the old days.

not quite the crisp, tasty pink beverage I had in mind, but one I could have used, say at Guilford and definitely at home when E&H came to visit!!.  See you at the  game!!  Does the puppy (you know the one as big as a cow) get to come? ;D
