CNWhoooo,

Sorry your boys lost.  It sounds like your offense could run at will, and the second QB could pass at will, but they couldn't overcome the turnovers (was it really six?)

Oh well, your D3 team went one step further than ours.

Glad to see you met up with Llama and the Kid.  Now you know how we are greeted and treated every week.  No wonder Bridgewater "travels well".

Be sure to tell all those potential Tidewater recruits about the BC crowd.  We need to steal all of those players we can.

Good luck next year.  BTW, your Viqueens still suck.

GO BC!

So, any report on what happened to W&L?  Is Wilkes that good?  Did W&L have injuries?  Was the wind blowing?

Kidding aside, I hoped for a better showing from the ODAC playoff rep ... but the 42-0 loss doesn't surprise me.  Do I think BC could have given Wilkes a better game?  Of course.  But we didn't get the job done in the regular season to have a chance to prove that.

After watching today's CNU/W&J game, I did feel like our BC team could have given both of those teams a game.  CNU's defense was really good, while W&J had an accurate sophomore QB (Swallow) and two nice scat backs (Mendel and Mathews).

Excellent to meet you!!  You guys at CNU know how to put on a football game, that's for sure.  You all were a class act too in allowing us to tailgate with you all!  Had Hudson Bryant played earlier in the game, that would have been a CNU win.  You all have one heck of a team and a great fan base!

Ralph, if memory serves me, TCNJ was formerly known as Trenton State, and Ewing is a Trenton suburb.
That's right.  Trenton State is now The College of New Jersey and Ewing is on the northwest side of Trenton next to the Delaware River.
Thanks for the geography refresher.  (I didn't want to confuse Ewing with JR!   :D )

On a vacation about 6-8 years ago, we visited Trenton and saw where Washington crossed the Delaware.

(You go on a vacation with me and we check out the history, the museums, capitals and Presidential residences!   My youngest daughter has been to about 20 Presidential birthplaces, 15 Civil War Battlefields and Cooperstown.  :D ;) )

I am impressed you caught that!!  I was hoping the avatar size photo would blur the details.  Tip of the hat to you Ralph.

Aw shucks!   :-[  That is just my McMurry education!  ;)
Hey Ralph, different sport, but your McMurry University (the team formerly known as Indians) plays my Guilford College Quakers in women's hoops today in Greensboro.  Both won their first round tournament games last night and face each other in the finals today.

hasanova, I want to thank your Guilford Lady Quakers for being such gracious hostesses!  McM 78 Guilford 44. :)

I hope you had the chance to see 2 All-Americans, McMurry's Post Tarra Richardson and PG Symbri Tuttle!

They're both good players.  The final is about what I expected.  McMurry is ranked and Guilford has one senior, three sophomores and about 10 freshmen.  :)  We'll get better.  Good luck to McMurry the rest of the season.

Ouch...not a good showing for W&L at all. Not a great year for D3 football in the state of Virginia after today's results.

I know that Pat loves my commentary so here goes, they were nervous since it was the first post season appearance since the 1951 Gator Bowl.  We will do better next season.  Here is the "official statement" http://athletics.wlu.edu/football/sum06.htm

Happy Thanksgiving week to everybody!  I bet Olinemon has already started.  We have about 20 headed this way so we get started today as well.

Well, I'll admit I was hoping for a closer game yesterday, but I had a somewhat ominous feeling after W&L's game at CWRU to end the regular season. Congratulations, however, to the Generals for their 2006 ODAC championship!  You earned the opportunity to play one more Saturday and the rest of us did not!  The 2007 season should be a good one as well.  Peace

Hey Skoal,

We are kind of like the Roaming Gnome at travelocity. Stone Station may just show up anywhere. :o

Great place to tailgate at CNU. That Captain club lot was really sweet. Thanks for taking the shot WCLegacy. ;)

It's not official yet, but I've been told Guilford will open at Southern Virginia next year (instead of Ferrum) and will play Methodist in Fayetteville for the 2nd year in a row.    For several years now, the Quakers have been on an odd schedule of four home games one year and six the next.  This tentative schedule is an attempt to equalize the slate at five home and five away each season.

I'm guessing, but I anticipate

9/1 @ Southern Virginia
9/8 @ Methodist
9/15 Hampden-Sydney
9/22 Averett
9/29 @ Greensboro
10/6 open
10/13 @ Bridgewater
10/20 Washington & Lee
10/27 Randolph-Macon  Homecoming
11/3 @ Catholic
11/10 Emory & Henry
