I'll be there bright and early Saturday morning.  Friday night is my birthday so I must spend it with the family.  Oh yeah, and its my 16th wedding anniversary as well. Thus, I'll be there bright and early Saturday morning. I'll be bringing my world famous deviled eggs.

Fantastic article about Stone Station!! My gf doesn't understand all the online stuff. Guess the internet is getting so much bad press these days. I printed a copy for her so she can see it is just good clean fun. Who knows...maybe I can twist her arm and get her to come with me to Salem on Sat.

Stagg Bowl Prediction - allsky7 is going to have a helluva good time!  ;D Ok....ok here goes. I must say my heart is pulling for a Warhawk victory. My head tells me the Purple Raiders will find a way to get it done again this year.

Thanks, Ryan for such a nice article.  I think this d3football.com is where so many people with similar interests get together from all over the nation (and world with some posting from across the pond). We make friends with people we might never have met and then the play offs and the Stagg Bowl allow us to meet posting friends.  I can't wait to see old friends and meet new ones.  ;D ;D ;D
I'm bringing breakfast from Codi's in Bridgewater for those who come Saturday morning to help Llama and Skoal set up everything at Stone Station:  cheddar cheese bread ring; provolone cheese ring;  puff pastry (1/2 cherry 1/2 apple); assorted muffins (they are huge); home-made cinnamon doughnuts.  Sonebody can supply beverages.  I don't do coffee.  Is that enough incentive to come a bit early to help, chat, carouse or otherwise have fun on Saturday?  Hope so!! :) ;) :D ;D

PS ALLSKY7--keep working on her to come.  Bring her Friday night.  I'll need someone to talk to!!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Don't think I will be able to make it Friday but I wouldn't miss Sat. for the world. She is not much on football but if this were basketball, she would be there in a heartbeat. She was a "studette" player for Roanoke College a few years back. She is a huge Duke fan. When they are playing Lord have mercy, you best get out of the way. Perhaps I can get her up to Salem in March for the D3 final four.

Anyone know if / where you can get Stagg Bowl tickets before Sat.? Thanks!!  8)

Nice well-deserved recognition, guys!  Because of all of our Stone Station buddies, my wife and daughter enjoy coming to the games as much as I do.

I am still "on the bubble" for the Stagg Bowl.  My sister is having her annual Christmas party that night, so I have to think of a way to tell her I would rather watch a football game without my team and tailgate with my friends, than be at her party.  If I can grow enough "Cajones" I will try to be there.  Peggy and Lauren have said they would rather go to the game also.  Lauren is always cold, so if Skoaltrain brings his outdoor fireplace, that may be the kicker.  Hint, Hint.

BTW, Snakehandler and Kid, although you were not mentioned specifically in the article, we all know Stone Station wouldn't be what it is without you two also.

Again, congrats on being recognized nationally as THE tailgaters of D3.  If those Division I-A guys only knew what they were missing!  Plus, we have real playoffs, not those stupid BCS games!

I appreciate the kind words, but all I do is show up and enjoy the hard work put in by Bo (and John, when he can come).  They bring all the tailgating accoutrements ... then add in their energy and collegial nature, wa-la ... you have "Stone Station."

I can't wait 'til this Friday!  Nothing like a weekend of Division III football - even if your team is not in it!  I'm looking forward to meeting old acquaintances and new ones.  I'm also interested in seeing how many Post Pattern posters we can get in a picture (Ryan Coleman - be ready!)

You are absolutely right Pak. We all know it takes more than 2 or 3 people to Tailgate BC & D3 style. Hug knows he is a founding father and without the parents, alumni and student fans, Stone Station would be a much smaller place. The other huge player at Stone Station is Peggy Irwin who captures all our fun weekly and I heard will be bringing those little plastic jello cups again this year.

When people ask why I help with such an expansive tailgate weekly? I always say "it's much more fun when you are not partying alone, LOL!"

The Stone Station pub is great but less remember we are the undercard here. Looking forward to Purple everywhere and to a great game on Saturday.

Good Luck to Mt. Union & Whitewater! The undisputed No. 1 & 2 teams in the country all season long. ;)

Llama, you just reminded me of what for me is an extreme irony.  Cheeseheads from Wisconsin wearing purple.  Yuck!

Where is that CNU85?

I think this is going to be a great game.  I wouldn't bet big money either way.  The Gods of D3 against a vengeful team that beat the #3 team in the country in a blowout.  Who ya gonna pick people?

I won't make my decision until gametime.  But I can't believe I would ever be stupid enough to bet against MUC in ANY playoff game.  As far as who I want to win, I respect MUC, but think I will pull for my fellow Cheeseheads.  Hell, if I go to the game, I will probably even wear mine!  What a sight THAT will be!
