The BC Photo person for Kid's website should make it down to the E&H game this weekend, we are gonna have another great crowd! ;)

I just may have to do that coach E&H "way" up.  I can get that picture of your 2500, ooops I mean 7500 strong. I could also snap a few shots of the game until it is out of hand since based off last year I would still be able to leave in plenty of time to get to the post game festivities at Stone Station! ;)

The article in the richmond times fails to mention all the pics ricca throws and what a high percentage of his tosses are just that

Have ricca play in areal offense and lets see what his numbers are like

Haters on the loose!

Ricca is a very good player, there is no doubt in that.

Question is with the water D seeming down how will that translate to numbers against B.C who've given him problems before.

A little out of the loop so I'm not really aware of what the other skill positions look like down in Farmville but knowing Marty Fav hes got at least one very dependable receiver catching the ball.

I just hope to see a great game with whoever wins coming out better and ready to make some national noise.

IMHO you'd be better employ an extra scoreboard operator than an extra photographer this weekend.

Don't worry about the E & H defense.  They are looking stellar.  Even have a transfer from Bridgewater in the secondary.  W & J have no chance at scoring like they did last year.  That game was only out of hand because of turnovers.  Ball security and E & H will give a showing this year.  To quote a W&J previous opponent ... "The only threat is Krepps at wide receiver".

Yeah, you go ahead and believe that.  I saw W&J last year in the playoff game and W&J is in a whole different league as Emory and Henry.  They are not anything like Ferrum or anyone else you've played this year.

If they don't score 70 Saturday, it will only be because they don't want to.

Just put in a few calls, and the Generals seem poised to make a run at their first 3-0 start since 2000. Who cares you say? The defense is flying around the ball, and the offense is in its second year under the direction of 25 yr old offensive coordinator Bert O'Neal who spent 2 years at Auburn before coming back to his alma mater. Only question is at O-Line, but there are some serious weapons at the skill positions in Lexington. Look for a Homecoming victory this Saturday, and then maybe the rest of the ODAC will start paying attention.

Hey, I agree.  Scroll back to the first page(s) of this thread.  I was one of the few (if not only) who picked W&L third preseason when everyone else was enamored with Emory.  Early returns say I was right, just beat Centre Saturday.  The ODAC really needs another good team.

Forma80:  Yeh, I'll pay attention in the fact that you beat Alfred by 14 and Sewanee by 3 and you're getting ready to play Centre?  Not the stiffest competition.......Let wait before you get too excited......

  Your comments are ridiculous.

I was simply putting out there what a different opponent had stated.

Even if W & J start putting up some points the Presidents won't go too high because I'm figuring that the head coach won't run up the score on an old "Purple Pal".  And that's IF they start putting up some points.  That style of finesse offense will only go so far before the Wasps start stinging.

W&L lost a close game to Centre last year, 28-23.  No reason why the Generals can't pull off a victory at home, even if Centre has looked good and W&L hasn't blown teams away.

I do agree with Hurley that Rica's numbers would not be near as impressive in an offensive system where he isn't throwing the ball 80% of the time.  Yes, he is a good player and quarterback.  There is no doubt in that. But it's the offense which helps him seem so impressive.  The best way to describe him would be  that he FITS the system, he doesn't MAKE it.

While I understand the skepticism after years of mediocrity, I do think W and L is on the right track as far as improvements. Alfred won 8 games last year and won their conference, and while I wasn't there for this year's game, I heard the dogs were called off in the 4th, which made the score a lot closer than the game.

Also, 1st Team All-ODAC receiver Colton Ward has yet to have a breakout game this year, as he's been receiving a lot of attention from opposing defenses. When he gets back in the flow there may actually be another "game that matters."
