Here are my predictions:

BC
HSC
W&L
Guilford
E&H
CU
RMC

I  see the Tigers improving. QB will be a soph. with a full season under his belt; Drew Smith back at WR; Josh Simpson back at RB; OL needs experience but should be more athletic and larger than last years OL
and the defense will have an all new look with new leadership.

Saw the new stadium last week. Really is going to be nice. Really improves the environment and should get the crowd closer to the game. We'll see what kind of impact it has. Construction should be completed by Sept. 1 kickoff !!!!!

Now all those poor little kids will have to go find somewhere else to play football. Don't think they can play in the end zones behind the goal post like we did way back when. Perhaps Coach Kinne will let them play on the baseball field.  :D
As someone I think said a while back, the new stadium should be worth at least one of two extra W's.  ;D Saw the new stadium last week. Really looks nice.

Here are allsky7's predictions: I rate BC the odds on fav.  ::) 2-5 could be a big mess.

BC - SOS
HSC - Should be much improved but still not comfy with unproven QB.
W&L - I rate the Tigers ahead of the Generals because I'm a homer and I think H-S wins at Death Valley for HC.
E&H - Could be the spoiler.
Guilford - A great QB won't be enough. Ok hasa...I'll take my medicine whenever you are ready  :D
R-MC - Improved....but not that much.
CU - Their coach says they are young so who am I to argue.

I showed my 11 year old a picture of the new stadium just last nite ..... first words out of his mouth "now where are we going to play football during the game". Didn't give it a seconds thought. I never looked at the new stadium from that prospective but I guess kids have been playing in front of the old stands as long as those stands have been there. I'm sure they will adapt and find a place to play. God forbid they start playing another sport like b'ball due to lack of a playing field !!!!

I can't wait to see it myself (seriously). 8)

I can't make any predictions as to the ODAC right now.  If I were so inclined, I think my predictions would be like Allsky's for mostly the same reasons.  I'm also somewhat intoxicated by YJ's info on the Yellow Jackets, but I'm gonna have to wait until the proverbial rubber hits the road.

Speaking of which, where are all the Guilford boys?  Trenches, Hasa? ???  I had fun following the Quakes last year!

Since that was my first thought too along with your sons, perhaps the message there is that I have the mind of an eleven year old.  ;D ;D

Your picks are boring  ;D This is my mascot pick, haha

HSC
BC
GC
W&L
CU
E&H
RMC

A tiger can beat an eagle any day, but the quakers are "nice" so they won't kill an eagle.  The quakers stop the generals from fighting.  CUA are the "cardinals (bird)" but are they really "cardinals ("senior ecclesiastical official")"  This is not the middle ages so the generals don't treat the "cardinals" as they once did and therefore have taken a back seat. E&H the wasps, well they are "scarier" than a yellow jacket. RMC, well they are a "bee" and I hardly think any of the above mascots are afraid of a bee.

Greensboro is going to be in Maryville on the 22nd.  I might have to head over to Guilford and watch HSC beat them.  Save me a seat tiger fans, I will be rooting for HSC.

Sorry left E&H part out.

Sorry Jacket.  Just started a new job about two months ago and hours are long.  Not sure if this has any meaning to anyone, but we had ISO 9000 audit this week (passed!) and it was my baby!  Haven't heard too much out of the Guilford camp this year, but I know Vogelbach returns.  The Quakers lost a few key receivers to graduation, but I think there are a lot of other guys to fill the passing lanes.  Defense should also be fairly solid with many more upperclassmen.  Kiesel tells me he has another good recruiting class with lots of guys coming to him wanting to play.  The stadium looks the best it ever has and the two night games this fall should generate a lot of added excitement.  I expect the Quakers to win 7-8 this year and at least 4 in the ODAC.  If I hear anything else, I'll let you know.  Jacket,  I'm expecting you in Greensboro on. Oct 27!

Nice to see ya back, Hasa.  I've got the 27th on my calendar.  Don't worry, a little hard work never killed anyone. . . well, yet, anyway. :P

Glad the new gig is going well! 8)

It's almost July...let's get some predictions...here's mine:
1. Bridgewater - Still the most talent and should be angry after last year.
2. W&L - Most of the defense back. Teams will be gunning for them.
3. Guilford - Top qb back...loses some weapons. Defense improving.
4,5,6,7 - Too close too call - E&H loses its leaders (qb and mlb) - HSC loses most of its o-line and the big rb - Catholic and R-M were the youngest and lose the least (R-M still has qb questions).
Sounds about right to me, but I hope the Quakers can finish higher.

hasa...if your Quakers are going to win 8 games this year, I am going to have to redo my prediction. I tell you what, lets bump the Tigers up to the top spot, put the Quakers at number two, and bump the Eagles down to three. How does that sound?  ;D ;D

Thanks.  I've been reading (and posting in spots), but life has been pretty busy.  My older son gets married on 7/7/07 (at 7 pm no less) and the younger returns from five weeks in Bolivia on Sunday.   I am "living" proof that hard work never killed anyone because this has been a hard year.  lol  I look forward to seeing you when the Jackets swarm into Armfield.  Hopefully, the Quakers can open a can of Raid with about 1 part Vogelbach, 1 part Defense and 2 parts homecoming crowd!  lol  :)

Hey, allsky.  Well, sadly, a team can go 8-2, 4-2 and still finish 3rd in the ODAC.  :)  I have hope the Quakers can win the conference, but they do have to travel to BC and CUA.  This is one of those alternate years Guilford gets a 4-2 home advantage in the conference.  Next season, I assume, we'll be back to two at home and four on the road!  Speaking of that, what's so hard in a seven team conference about everyone playing three at home and three away each season?
