Did you follow HS football in Tenn ? If so, are familar with Baylor School outside of Chatt. ? I'm thinking about sending my oldest there next year but will only do so if you are familar with it !!!!!!

e h dad

I just wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU to each and every person who has been a member of this site who have allowed me to be part of this great board.

The last four years have gone by in a heart beat for me. I had the opportunity and pleasure of watching football at its best..............D3 Football. I saw young men including my son play for one reason....... THE LOVE OF THE GAME!!!

D3 football is the last vestige of pure football left in America. So to all the players and coaches "THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES"

To the kid they said was to small to play the offense line in college.......you proved them wrong.
Keep up the hard work in law school just as you did at E&H.

I'll be on the side lines watching the board.

I AM THE E&H DAD

Congrats, glad you've enjoyed the site.

But you don't have to stop posting just because your son has graduated. Perhaps you won't be going to games as often but I hope your contributions will still be welcomed.

I did follow HS ball but mostly familiar with the Maryville/Knoxville area schools. I have heard of Baylor. Matter of fact, I think a former Fighting Scot may be their head coach. (not sure about that though) The SID at MC is a former teamate of mine. Let me make a call and see what I can find out.  8)

Same conference...wrong school. The former Fighting Scot (Charlie Wiggins) is head coach at Notre Dame HS. According to my friend at MC, Baylor is a great school.

Thanks for your response. We'll see what happens but Baylor sounds like a great place for my son both academically and athletically.

Not so good news on the HSC campus. I can't share any info at this time but the outcome of this situation will greatly impact the season.

Hello to Coach S. I hope he and your Mom are still doing well !!!

What are the best games in non-conference match-ups this season for teams in the ODAC?
What about the best non-conference match-ups in D3?

Four of the best non-conference games in D3...

UMHB vs CNU and UMHB at UWW
Hardin-Simmons vs UW-Lacrosse and HSU at Linfield

Also,

Trinity at ETBU and Trinity vs Texas Lutheran
The Trinity opponents are not as highly ranked, but I think that they are an excellent test for Trinity.

tigerfan,

thanks for the info on the scrimmage. If i had to predict how it would go, I would have said exactly what you said.....size, speed, good D, good running game, passing game needs work. I really think the passing game will come around. I'm not sure who played, but the receivers are fairly inexperienced this year....all they need is reps and they'll be good.

I don't think you guys have too  much to be concerned about. Your team has very good athletes, with size and speed. A couple of very good RBs behind a solid OL. Defensive front is good, secondary needs some work as well as the WRs. Like you pointed out, improvement will come with additional reps. I like how they play, emotional but seemingly under control. The Captains should have a good year and I wish them the best until they play the ODAC champ in the playoffs !!!!!

ODACians --

I'm running a USA South pick-em board again this year and wanted to invite the folks here to join in.

A couple of you all participated last year, and I figure there's enough ODAC/USAC crossover to generate some more interest here -- especially from fans of Guilford and E&H.

I tried to add a bit to the game, so take a look at the rules before posting. Thanks!

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.
