I've learned over the years not to put too much stock into the 2 deeps that end up in the programs. They aren't often a great representation of what the team puts out on the field. However, I don't expect a 2 deep to drop a QB and RB who will be on the field.

Thanks to unclejessie for the link to the Shenandoah's game notes for the game against Catholic. Unfortunately Catholic doesn't even have their current roster up on their webpage yet. The Catholic 2 deep they have listed in the game notes is missing a few names I expected to be on there. I know some kids try to make it back into school in the last hours and don't pull it off, so its possible the 2 deep is accurate.

Not so good news on the HSC campus. I can't share any info at this time but the outcome of this situation will greatly impact the season.

Eh. . . .??? ???

Whatever it is, I'm sure I don't want hear it. >:(

Who are you and what have you done with Jacket Lawyer?

:D

Just hoping it has nothing to do with earlier troubles this year.

All we can assume from these vague posts is that it's really bad.

K_Mack, did you say Yuengling????  The college and post college kids had Yuengling day on the beach this year, they said it was 3 Mile Island Water. :P

I can understand the HSC fans who have info, not posting it.  Insiders and game day assistants could post alot of stuff, but that would be unfair and classless. Until the school or ODAC has an official release from a qualified spokes-person....we hope for the best for all concerned.

was on page C9 in the USA Today on Tuesday..... i think it was tuesday. God knows i can't keep the days straight during August

It was mentioned in General Football and on the Daily Dose ... and I guess we just assume our Bridgewater fans are up on whatever's going on.

Cmon K-Mack,

You know us better than that!  You are giving BC fans way too much credit.

Coach Colbert is a real class act and as a Bridgewater alum, I love seeing our school still being connected to his name.  And yes, I miss his wide open offensive schemes.  All of BC wishes him tons of success, and personally I hope he can kick Washington and Jefferson's butts real soon.  I will be a big fan of St. Vincent's until the day they play BC in the playoffs.  With him as head coach, that may be sooner than we think.

But the big, burning question I have about this article is when did Rolling Rock move from Latrobe???  That's beer blasphemy.  Hey Religion Major, is this a sign of armageddon?

GO BC!

Amen brother!!  8)
I know that a bunch of BC football alums are going up for the first game because Nik asked me to go as well!  Go Coach Colbert!!  Hope you do great!!!

Four of the best non-conference games in D3...

UMHB vs CNU and UMHB at UWW
Hardin-Simmons vs UW-Lacrosse and HSU at Linfield

Also,

Trinity at ETBU and Trinity vs Texas Lutheran
The Trinity opponents are not as highly ranked, but I think that they are an excellent test for Trinity.
I am excited about the Hardin-Simmons vs Linfield game.  I get to go to that game.  I hear that Pat C. will be there and I have told my hosts, the Cocos that we need to make some brownies.  It should be a fun time!!!

It's good to be back, Allsky7!  This spring I was so involved in ODAC and ACC  baseball.  It was great!!  I spent a week in Jacksonville at the ACC tournament and got on TV for the 1400 brownies I brought down for the players on the 8 teams that contested for the championship.  That was pretty cool, at least for me.  I had wanted to go to Omaha, but I needed to teach summer school so I had to stay home, so I sent brownies to 3 teams:  Louisville (Pete Rodriguez ,rf, had played for Luray last summer), UNC (the ACC representative) and Oregon State (home of Joey Wong, Darwin Barney, Joe Paterson, Daniel Turpen, Mitch Canham and many others I could name).  Pete opened their package right in front of the reporters and I got written up in the Sunday papers in Louisville and had a live interview on the sports' radio show on the following Monday and a mention on Rivals.com.  How's that for simply baking a few brownies and sending baseball stones?  Now I am looking forward to Saturday and our first game here at BC.  We have a new pressbox and new seats that I couldn't possibly afford.  Looking forward to Stone Station and seeing friends!  The next week, I'm off to Linfield where I have been invited as Olinemom to see the Linfield vs HSU game.  I'm really happy to go out there and meet all the wonderful people with whom I have been corresponding on the boards for so long!!  Glad to be back in football season and on the boards!!  What are you going to be doing the next couple of weeks? :D :D :D

My apologies.  It's "just" a starting QB, RB, and WR, that aren't.

See you the 29th!!  Enjoy the kayaking, that sounds wet to me.  The last boat I was on was the QE II, you know the kind with stabilizers and so many crewpeople to wait on you. Dove hunting?  I call that grocery shopping.  I'm just teasing, you know.  I do look forward to seeing you soon.  I wrote Roocru and asked if he had already bought his tickets for Salem.  Was that bad or what?
