Thanks for the thoughts from y'all.  My daughter's surgery went well--wish i could be there at Stone Station tomorrow--will have to rely on the crappy 19" TV in the hospital room.  And, imagine this, she is probably going to get released sometime around 2:00--maybe i can bribe someone to get it moved to later so i can at least watch the whole game!! ::) ::)

Actually, I am very happy that she is doing well and will be glad to listen to the end of the game on the radio, if that is what is best for her.

Llama, Skoal, Allsky7, Olinemom and the rest of the Stone Station crew, many thanks for the southern hospitality. Great to see you all again. A toast to the many friendships that have developed between #1 and #10. Sorry I accused the "Bridgewater Clock Operator" of running or not running the game clock yesterday :D

Why don't we just have the Stagg at Bridgewater.

Skoaltrain here.  What a great day for football and fellowship.  It was great seeing everyone.  The friendships are stronger as each year progresses.   Congrats to Mt. Union for another D3 Title.  This is really sounding like a broken record but the fellowship is more than worth it.

Nice article on the Roanoke Times this Sunday Morning.  I've pasted the link below.  I now have to start digging out of the hole I've dug for myself with my wife.  I would do it all again next weekend if I had to.

I hope everyone made it home safe and we'll catch you next time.

Skoaltrain pulling into Lynchburg Station for a winters nap.  Until we meet again, Happy and Safe Holidays to all.

Thanks, John.  Nicely written and on the mark.  Maybe next year .... :)

amen, amen, amen.  you guys deserve all the press u can get.  the hospitality that u show is beyond reproach.  i am humbled to be a part of the group these past couple of years.  bo and skoal, u guys are great.  i am not sure if brandon's dad posts, but thanks to you also.  i will be in attendance as long as i can, the game is only a small part of the event.  skoal said it best, the fellowship is more than worth it.  i will gladly sit in 45 miles of bumper to bumper traffic if it means i will get to spend some time with all the great people of stone station each year.  the concern each of you showed for my son in the army was greatly appreciated and i will pass on all the good words to him when i see him in the next couple of days.  the fact that any of you even remembered is a testament to the type of people you are.  god bless each and every one of you, and until we meet again, may you have good fortune and health.

Llamaguy, Olinemom, Skoaltrain and the rest of Stone Station,
Thanks so much for the hard work and hospitality you folks bring to the Stagg Bowl. You are over-the-top and  the "tailgate kings". Nice to see you again. You are just another example of what makes D3 football a great experience. Take care and Happy Holidays to all of you!!

I enjoy my treks to Salem for the Stagg Bowls. But since someone asked what could be better, How about Stone Station setting up on a beach in The Bahamas instead of a parking lot in Virginia?  Since Mexico isnt holding up its end of the D3 allstar game anymore, why not offer it to someone else? I predict a sellout! ;)

Thanks for the southern hospitality Stone Station. See ya next year.

watching the raiders on ESPN2 I thought both looked flat at times BUT both teams are BEASTS!!
Never shall I leave a fallen comrade

Olinemom, et al, thanks for the brownie care package you guys sent upstairs. Sorry I couldn't make it down this year, but I had a little extra prepr work to get done and the early start kinda blew up plans to come downstairs.

The look on the face of the poor state trooper who was walking through the press box looking for me was priceless. :)

hey all stone station folks, the 101st airborne assault unit of the u s army returned safely last evening.  i would like to thank all of you for the concern you showed my son and his comrades.  i passed on your words of appreciation and thanks for their service to our country.  he looks the same, maybe a little skinnier, but healthy.  it was the best xmas present we could have received :D.  merry xmas and happy new year to all of you.

seventiesraider

Merry Christmas to all and thanks for all you folks do to make the Stagg a great event.
