J Bozz...keep the updates coming...cant believe they rallied from 21 down.  Thanks!

BC got a catch for a 1st down but fumbled it away in OT. Ferrum kicks a 28 yard FG.
Ferrum 37, BC 34 Final OT
BC had held Ferrum at the end of the 1st Half when they missed a 46 yard Field Goal but a Penalty on BC gave Ferrum another shot and they made a 31 yard FG for a 24-7 edge.
BC missed an extra point in the 2nd Half and it cost the Eagles.
Congrats to Ferrum.
The bottom line is that BC must win the ODAC to make the playoffs in 2009.

Here is the last LIVESTAT entry on the E&H game.

Just got back from the MUC/ONU game and a couple of things are obvious:

1) The ONU defense is straight NASTY.  Unfortunately, ONU doesn't have an offense.  The defense had to spend too much time on the field and I think that was evident in the second half today.

2) Cecil Shorts is the real deal.  He was fun to watch.  I'd like to put him and Caleb Jennings in an agility contest!

3) MUC is good, but not great.  They were able to win today b/c the ONU offense couldn't get moving.  I don't think MUC will win another title this year.

And congrats to the Waspers on that last second victory!

Could it be that HSC actually played a good game on both sides of the ball?

What is more amazing, the Bishops scored with 20 seconds left and EHC scored in the final 20 seconds

Wow! Just got back from the EHC - NC Wesleyan game. What a game! The bishops played very well today and congrats to them on a great game. I will try and give you a run down of what happened.

EHC was down 28-7 going to the fourth, we battled back and were going for the extra point when we had a botched snap and then we ran it in for the 2 pt conversion making it 29-28 with about 2 mins left.

The bishops ran a great 2 minute drill and scored with about 30 seconds left making the score 34-29 after they failed on a two point attempt. They squibbed it and we had around 18 seconds left after we returned it to the about the 50. Our QB hit the TE down the seam, something that seemed to be wide open all day, and that got it to the 18 and we used our last TO. On the next play Piscopo hit Sims for the go ahead TD with 1.9 seconds left and then we squibbed and made the tackle.

Playing in the previous three matchups and watching this one, I have to say the bishops are great competitors and it always comes down to the last couple of seconds when we face each other. Congrats to the bishops on a great game again.

The best thing was how most of the fans, EHC and NCW fans together, congratulated each player from both teams on a great game as they walked off the field. Where other than D3 can that happened?

WaspsOG57

Sorry, one correction, we botched the snap when we made the score 28-20, and then we ran it in from there, making the score 28-22.

HSC85

Wow what a game at Emory and Henry.  That is two games this year against the USA South that E&H has pulled out at the end of the game.

HSC played a solid game on both sides of the ball.  There was drizzle or rain most of the game but it did not impact the game at all.  Sewanee  has excellent facilities and the playing surface was in great shape.  Last week was our turn to have the overtime game this week it seems to be popular as well.

3) MUC is good, but not great.  They were able to win today b/c the ONU offense couldn't get moving.

Mount holds the #7 ranked team to 80 yards total offense. ONU Scores only TD on botched kick coverage. Either of those teams would go undefeated in the ODAC

They are still working out the QB situation.

As they played today they would not win a championship, but they could have beaten anyone else in the country today. Their defense is unreal.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
