Round One

QuoteI suspect it was a combo of a good and experienced  H-S team catching NCW at the right time. I am sure the Bishops have gotten better throughout the season.

Yes, HS caught them at the right time, they were on the field of play.

hsc85, thanks for the insight.  i suspected as much, but if they struggle against the pass then they will be in for a long day this saturday.  wesley does both well and is pretty quick all over the field.  good luck this weekend and next, maybe we will meet in dover in a couple of weeks.

HSC faithful, need a little insight into the game between HSC and NCWC.  The score says a beat down, was it that bad?  Was their defense that pourous?  Trying to get some info for the game this weekend between wesley and ncwc.  any insight will be appreciated.

I was not at the H-S / NCW game but did listen on the radio. It sure sounded like a beat down to me. I talked to a few friends at the Salisbury game a few weeks back and was told it (NCW game) was one of the most dominating games H-S has played on both sides of the ball in a long time. I suspect it was a combo of a good and experienced  H-S team catching NCW at the right time. I am sure the Bishops have gotten better throughout the season.
H-S has a great opportunity to elevate their program Sat. Not having to travel to MUC or Wesley in the first round is an opportunity that doesn't come along too often. Here's hoping that the Tigers do in fact face the Purple Raiders or Wolverines down the road a ways.  ;) GO TIGERS!!!

Will you be in attendance Saturday? A few of the Stone Station faithful may be headed down to Farmville this weekend.

I have filled your requested Stagg Bowl order to "be where the party people at!" LOL

Will be in touch.

why isn't the game on wflo?

The final sentence of the RMC game recap on the HSC website (after the bit about making it into the tournament) says all Tiger action is on WFLO, so unless you have heard something to the contrary it appears the game with JHU will be available.

First playoff game @ HSC since 1977 and I'm forced to miss it due to high school playoffs(kids come first). I'll be there in spirit and I know the Tigers will make us all proud.

Any RMC fans see JH earlier ? How do we match up ? Everything I hear indicates a close game.

Assuming we win, do the Tigers have a chance to host 2nd round ?

Back to the Macon fans; I was really impressed with the Jackets this past Saturday; good team and a great game to watch.

Go Tigers !!!!

According to the latest email to Pat Coleman which is posted in the blog "There are no seeds", Thomas More hosts if they beat Depauw. HSC would host if they win and TMC loses.

HSC was 2nd in the last published regional rankings which would lead one to believe TMC jumped HSC in the final unreleased regional rankings. I guess a close victory over RMC and a win by TMC over a previously undefeated Mt. Saint Josephs eliminated HSC's chance to host a second round game regardless of Thomas More's outcome.  :-\

Llama,

I was afraid of that.  TM has a win over two playoff teams that were probably in the last Regional Rankings and HSC has only the win over one team with at least 8 wins (NCW).  HSC tried to upgrade its schedule but it did not work out due to Salisbury being 5-5 this year, and Gettysburg and Sewanee being down this year as well.  HSC must focus on winning on Saturday and not be looking ahead.

Go Tigers. Take care of business.

I talked to Rob Stanley-an old roomate of mine at R-MC(who was football player of the year in the ODAC in 1981)and ,Ironically, does the color commentary for WFLO in Farmville for football(he's from Farmville and lives there now)and he said that Canon Watson( the Commentator for H-SC football)told him the game will be on WFLO but will be joined in progress at 12:15 because the news is on WFLO from 12:00 to 12:15(I know...but I guess the news is IMPORTANT in Farmville...;-)..)...thats what he told me anyway....

If you missed your chance in the regular season this is your chance to wipe the slate clean and win the postseason ODAC pick em.
All D 3 Bowl games and NCAA playoff games will be included(other than all star games.)

HSC85

Jeremybozz,

Thank you for doing the Pick em this season.  It was really fun even though I choked and could not hold a lead.  Your efforts made the season more enjoyable.

Jeremybozz

Thanks. Since you shared the lead at the end it means you could hold it.
