why isn't the game on wflo?

The final sentence of the RMC game recap on the HSC website (after the bit about making it into the tournament) says all Tiger action is on WFLO, so unless you have heard something to the contrary it appears the game with JHU will be available.
I talked to Rob Stanley-an old roomate of mine at R-MC(who was football player of the year in the ODAC in 1981)and ,Ironically, does the color commentary for WFLO in Farmville for football(he's from Farmville and lives there now)and he said that Canon Watson( the Commentator for H-SC football)told him the game will be on WFLO but will be joined in progress at 12:15 because the news is on WFLO from 12:00 to 12:15(I know...but I guess the news is IMPORTANT in Farmville...;-)..)...thats what he told me anyway....

Come on Francis Wood.....move the news to 11:45 so we can listen to the TIGERS!!! Oh yeah.....I'll be at the game.  :D
Some people may not know, but Rob was a BA at Ferrum during the JC days before he got misguided and headed to R-M.  ;) To this day.....the pound for pound toughest football player I ever saw.

I played against him in HS when I was at Southampton Academy and he busted my a-- a few times, and i lived with him after he was "misguided to R-MC"....To this day one of my best friends in the whole world, and a fair man with the bottle,too...;-).....but you're right -he's the absolute TOUGHEST NUT ever to turn a screw at R-MC, pound -for pound or not! I've seen him lay out guys TWICE his size and then spit tobacco juice right in their face! And then laugh about it....

Good luck to the Tigers on Saturday.  It's exciting to have a 10-0 ODAC club in the fray!  Johns Hopkins is no "gimme", so it should be great game.  Hope you play well and carry the HSC and ODAC flags all the way to Salem.  Go Tigers!

HSCguy

Good luck to the Tigers tomorrow...Take care of business and let's get past the first round this year.  Make the rest of the ODAC proud!

Good luck to the Tigers tomorrow.  You represent the dreams of many guys whose season ended last week.  Play hard and WIN!!!!!!!!

Someone told me about this story tonight, so I looked it up.  I'm sad to report Greensboro's been instructed by the NCAA to forfeit two of its victories, over Guilford and W&L, for the use of an illegible player.  This means Greensboro's stellar 6-4 season is now officially 4-6.  I'm a Guilford alumnus, but I honestly don't want to "win" games by forfeit - I feel bad for the Pride.

Final regular season ODAC pick em standings are out:

1 HSC 85 81-40
1 Jeremybozz 81-40
3 Snakehandler 80-41
3 HSC Tiger 74 80-41
5 CBE 79-42
6 wasper 68 77-44
7 Valley Wolf 70-43
8 kickerdad 65-39
9 muchacho 64-40
10 Llamaguy 24-16
11 Ryan Tipps 5-3

In the wake of the Greensboro forfeits, do we keep the standings as they are now or do we recalculate? What is the fair thing to do? Any thoughts?
I know when Shenandoah had some forfeits a few years ago "Kid" adjusted the standings but that was during the season. Let me know what you want to do.
I will be watching the Bridgewater and Eastern Mennonite basketball games this evening.

Sedlar with a perfect 45 yard TD pass. 7-0 Hampden-Sydney Tigers.

CBE

Hopkins up 17-7 with under 9 mins to play....doesn't look good for the Tigers.  Where is the offense???

CBE

Hopkins just shut down the O.  Only 29 rushing yds at this point.   23-7 with 1:04 to go.

Final was 23-7 Johns Hopkins over Hampden-Sydney at HSC.  Disappointing end to the season for the previously undefeated Tigers.  Keep your chin up and congratulations on a fine season!

HSC85

Congratulations to the Hampden Sydney Tigers on a great season.  It did not end the way that you wanted.  However you had a great season.  Seniors, you will be missed.  You had two conference championships and won 30 games.  Congratulations on a great career.

wasper68

Anyone heard anything about the all conference team yet?

HSCguy

Congrats to H-SC for a great season!  Going 10-0 is no easy feat, but they did it and no one can take that away from them.  This will definitely help them in the recruiting race for next season!  On another note,  does anyone know if and or when D3 will have a full contact Spring session with a Spring game???

Whats the scouting report on Johns Hopkins, fellas?   I hear they have a bruising TB and very good QB... and a good defense.

TMC has historically shutdown the run game, but not like they have this year.  50 yards/game on the ground.  I think the teams are similar with TMC having superior speed.

What will we see from JHU?
