If the football gods deems us worthy, we will be there. At least me and my co-pilot Kevin.
and the buckeyes?  Are they coming too?  Sure hope so!!! :):):)  Looks like MUC is doing fantastic as per usual. :) :) :)

the Buckeye's will be there, peanut Butter and Chocolate variety and old bald variety (Cornhusker way down deep)

BTW Kevin told our Pastor the other day if he doesn't go to Mount Union he wants to go to Virginia Tech. I better start playing the Lotto
oh, man. Kevin is killing me.  VA Tech and me a UVA fan (of the GROH must go faction) but seriously it's a great school!!  and pretty near Salem for the big game, so it could be a good thing!!  MUC had a great game this weekend.  As for me, I ran into a wall on Thursday afternoon and had the Rescue Squad and all the trimmings.  A concussion just when I need to grade papers.  Not a whole lot of fun, but what can you do?  This too shall pass, though not all of the kids will.
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

(:>) Olinemom, I've "run into the wall" a few times but not literally. Maybe they can get you a lounge chair in front of the oven. If you guys see a Jeep Liberty with a small white travel trailer behind it in the lot on Saturday morning, Kevin and I are there. For half the cost of a motel room, I can bring my bed with me.

First we gotta beat Wesley and I'm thinking that's gonna take some doing.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Does anyone know if Matt was impacted at all due to the coaching changes at UVA? The second I heard that announced on ESPN, I thought of Matt, hope he's doing well.

hey stone staion folks, keep your fingers crossed, we might have a team that we like to cheer for this year.  is anyone making the trip up to see the game?  I think they have a real chance to win the game, the d is nasty and will be as good as any the mount has seen this year.  if mount lays the ball on the ground like they did last week against a far inferior team, wesley will be in really good shape.  i watched the game against capital on the internet and thought that cap was the better team.  if wesley doesnt get outcoached, dont be stunned if they win the game.

So you're saying they don't like seeing MUC?  Guess they were just being polite to us in the parking lot before the game all those years. ;)

I'm really looking forward to seeing the Wesley defense in person.  Sounds a lot like Mount's D only much bigger up front.  And I agree that if MUC drops the ball like last week, it won't be a happy ending for us.

How would you compare the Wesley defense to the previous Whitewater defenses that Wesley played against?  Reason I'm asking is Whitewater is the only recent team that has a defense as fast as Mount's while being bigger and stronger.  Capital and Ohio Northern's defenses are usually very fast, but not big enough to stalemate Mount at the line of scrimmage.  Whereas Whitewater has been every bit as fast as any defense Mount saw but 30+ pounds bigger at the D-line and LB positions.

Travel safe and see you Saturday!  Are you making the pre-game breakfast with Skunk?
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Wesley play in Alliance

I just wanted to say those 4 words first (the first set of 4 words, preceded by dude)...

HScoach, nothing against you guys, but if Wesley is in the Stagg then I will have a much closer tie to them and of course would cheer for them.  Since you guys win so much I have to cheer for the other team, even if it was UWWW.

As far as the D compared to UWWW.  I think they are as quick and big on the d line, the question is will they play that way.  They love to lay the wood to someone so expect some big hits if the chance arises.

Not speaking for Stone Station, but I think they like all people that come and visit them for the game, even if they are from Mount. ;)

HS coach, yes the plans are to arrive by 930 to join them for breakfast and then head over to check out some tailgates.

HS Coach; Stone Station is always gracious to the schools who are playing.  We show no favorites nor do we discriminate against the color purple.  We love the fellowship even though it's with the same Dudes every year.

I'm a guy who loves variety.  Seeing Mount Union every year spoils that variety.  Having someone else would be like I'm cheating on Mount Union since they are there all the time.  Will I get caught?  Yes, probably.  But will it be worth it to see something new?  Of course!  You get the idea.

I understand Stone Station has a great menu again this year.  Should be another one for the ages.  Can't wait!

Everyone travel Safe!  And yes Wesley Dad, we'll be in Salem.  I can't speak about this week as I haven't talked to any of the Stone Station Crew.  See you in less than two weeks.  Regardless of who is playing!

wesleydad

skoal, yes, less than 2 weeks until our 6 am tailgate.  i am getting used to the beer and eggs breakfast stuff with all these early tailgates, but no use complaining, i could be working on saturdays and not enjoying all this fun.  Looking forward to the menu and the beer selection since it is becoming a mini brew fest with all the different beers from around the country.  i have a tough decision to make since i have come across some real good ones.  see you in 10 days, since i am arriving friday afternoon this year instead of evening.

E&H's Caleb Jennings was picked by the media today as Virginia's top football player across Divisions II/III and the NAIA. Kudos!

Even more interesting, the three finalists -- Jennings, W&L's Matt Cassillyand H-SC's Will Riggenbach -- are all ODAC players. :)

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

I recommend a brown ale with breakfast foods. The malt finishes nicely on the palate when combined with eggs, bacon, etc.  :D Have a couple brown ales (Brooklyn and Downtown Brown) in the fridge that I plan to bring. These are two of my favs. Will pick up a few more Virginia brews before the 19th.  ;D
