allsky7, totally agree with the brown ale and breakfast, much hardier taste to it.  I will be bringing something on the hoppy side, likely the dogfish head 60 IPA, one of the best around, as I know some of my stone station friends enjoyed it when I visited for home coming this year.  not sure what else I am bringing, but since I cant cook and traveling 6 hours doesnt do much for food anyway, I need to bring the suds to add to the tailgate.  Have had the Brooklyn and it is good.  Looks like it will be another micro brewfest at the stagg, maybe we can get someone to sponsor it, maybe a local micro to add to the ambiance and fun.

I've heard that the dogfish head 90 is to die for--I would love the opportunity to try one of those.  i will be bringing some of the Great Lakes brewery specials.  Maybe some Old Leg Humper or Burning River!
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

This sounds like it's going to turn out to be a great event.  Regardless of who is playing.  Wait?  I think we know who is playing.  Normally it's the same freakin' two teams that are in it year in and year out.  I guess the only thing to look forward to is the fellowship and the tasting of great ale.  It's still not a bad thing.  Wesley Dad put the hex on the Mount.  I'm also calling it here.  UWW and Wesley for the Championship!  We'll see soon enough I guess.

Safe travels to all!!!

skoal, yes, i agree that this is going to be a great event as usual.  I will do all I can to put a hex on the machine.

theaprof, had the burning river care of skunkssidekick, never tried the leg humper, name says it must be good.  will see what i can do about the 90 instead of the 60, all good brews.

I don't know what everybody else is bringing but I'm bringing 2 cheese breads, an apple strudel, a cherry strudel, a plate of home-made pastries (but not made by me), brownies and I think the crunken meatballs again.  Can;t wait to see everybody!!  I would really like to be up at the PErk this weekend to see WW and Linfield.  But I'm already so sick at my stomach just thinking about that match-up because I wish they could both be here.  Heck I wish they could all 4 be here, but I have special feelings for UWW and Linfield.  The Linfield people treated me like a Queen when I visited them 2 years ago.  It was a blast and  a half!!  I would go out this weekend, except that grades are due on Monday am and I still have the remnants of a concussion.  I know that football players just play anyway or they have in the past.  But people who have to think in order to grade papers just can't manage to do that sort of thing.  It's kind of funny and helpless all at the same time.  But I can't wait for next week.  I'm coming in on Wednesday, going to the Gagliardi award banquet on Wednesday (I want Jeff Schebler to win!!) and the team luncheon as well.  Looking so forward to it.  My Christmas present to me!!!  Hope to see you all soon!!

GIVE A CHEER FOR THE STAGG BOWL whether the teams be purple or blue! CHAMIONS ARE ALL COLORS!!!!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

wesleydad

olinemom, love the pastries, but it is time for a color other than purple to show up at the Stagg.  Navy blue and white will look real nice at 600 in the morning as i join my stone station friends for a chance to cheer on the Wesley Wolverines in the Stagg.  And if I am correct, we will be seated on the Wesley side as they will be the away team if the rotation is the same.  Keep your fingers crossed that the boys show up and play to their ability.  I am out at 300 to head to alliance to join skunks sidekick for breakfast and margaritas at Panchos and then off to tailgate with some mount fans.  it is going to be a lot of fun and will be even better with a Wesley win.  just think this time next week we will be gathering at some watering hole watching some football game and talking crap, cant wait to hang with you guys and jason is really looking forward to it too.  hope for warmer or no rain for next week weather in salem.

Olinemom, Llama and the crew. Leave a spot for the tray of buckeyes. I'll try to bring a few other things as Kevin and I will be hauling our travel trailer. If you see a blue Jeep Liberty with a white travel trailer over towards the stage come bang on the door (:>)

If you can think of anything else we can bring, let us know. and..

SS Folks...

Our crew will be there as per usual with a battery-operated blender so we can tap into the margarita karma that has served us so well all these years in Alliance.  The local Mexican establishment is providing the mix, so all should be right in the world.  I will provide some additional microbrew libations for public consumption.

Looking forward to seeing all the crew........

Sadly, I will be in Vegas.  Who should I bet on? I think I'm taking the under.
