Continued performance in November and December makes up for that, if I'm not mistaken.

I know, I know. :) I'm playing a little devil's advocate here.

But bottom line is that, even if the ODAC isn't "there" yet, I like where they're heading.

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

interesting conversation.  you have to give credit to any conference that does that well against ooc opponents.  i saw the game this weekend and and it was a good game between 2 good teams.  if the debate is how they will fair against the bigs around the country that is another issue.  having seen both wesley and delval play this year, i dont think either team that i saw play saturday could beat either one.  wesley will play salisbury in 2 weeks so we will have something to compare them with other than opinion.  as always, this boils down to are you looking at your teams chances to win it all or win the conference and compete in the playoffs, they are not one and the same.

GC-Q has to hurt a pool C bid. If they were just a little stronger. They are not losing on a blown special or OT. They are getting busted up. Would be nice to see 2 in there however....

I do feel Hasa's pain even from here..... :-\

I am sure Wesley would jump at the chance to fill any open dates the ODAC teams have.  ;D

I have tangled with those Wolverines way back when. Always good but I think the top 2 in the conference might just hang....

abnrgr, depends on what you mean by hang.  be in the game a little while, then over, or compete.  i have seen both wesley and hampden-sydney play and i dont see it being much of a game.  wesley is bigger, faster, etc.  i dont think hampden-sydney could handel wesley's offense and i thinkg they would have trouble scoring more than 14.  but i agree with pawesleyfan, wesley would just love to pick up some teams that want to play.  the E8 has been avoiding them for years now.  i enjoy my yearly trip to bridgewater and have seem the odac play for years now in the playoffs, both bridgewater and hampday-sydney made the trip to dover.  just dont think they can hang with the wolverines.

Wesley used to play at least one team from the ODAC every year. I am sure that there probably has been some feelers for games. Tough to get dates after the regular season starts. Hopefully there will be more in the future.

Wesleydad,

I agree that the teams in the ODAC could not compete with Wesley very well head to head.  The Wolverines are bigger and faster at just about every position.  It would take a subpar effort by Wesley and an "A" game by HSC or RMC for the game to be competitive into the 4th quarter.  There is definitely a gap between the top 5-8  teams in D3 and the next 15-20.  Much more of a gap than in the upper division IMHO.

Unless your tongue was planted firmly in cheek, I was just wondering how being ranked #5 in the South Region Fan Poll, #20 in the D3.com Top 25 and getting almost weekly mentions in Triple Take qualified as "under the radar". You guys are really good this year and everybody knows it. As long as both teams take care of business The Game is looking bigger than ever.

Uh......It was a little toungue in cheek but, even when its true,I dislike it when people  look down their noses at us down here in the little 'ol ODAC.... ;).......we do have to get past a very good W & L team tomorrow( in their house,no doubt). But we do buckle our chinstraps and lace our laces just like everybody else does......Keep on talkin'.......it just might be US(the ODAC) who has the last laugh..... ;)......Good luck to the Tigers tomorrow, also!Safe travels to all!!

Hey guys.  I'm in mourning today - not only are my Quakers 0-5 heading into the BC game tomorrow, but my '68 Nova was "rear ended" by my garage door this morning.  The door was fully open when I started out, but I repositioned the garage door opener on the seat just as I was backing out and I guess I hit the button.  Tomorrow morning will be spent getting the door repaired and the next two weeks will be spent trying to get the Nova's damaged paint repaired.  C'est la vie!  Just call me "crashanova".   :-\
