24 hours until Stone Station sets up...

It's that time of year again!!!

I have it on good authority that Stone Station is going to be mentioned, albeit briefly, in the Around the Mid-Atlantic column next week :)

So that I preemptively call myself out, I'm going to take back what I said above. This weekend's results are prompting me to change direction with my column :) The one I had planned to run will be used in the next 2-3 weeks.

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

Any RMC fans who attended yesterday's game with Methodist, what insight can you share on the Monarchs?  Guilford travels to Fayetteville Sept. 10 for our next game.  Thanks

Looks like Tyler Beiler has gotten picked up by the Jags for their practice squad.

Attended the HSC game. Hard to tell what the Tigers have this year as Averett was unable to compete. This week is going to be difficult and will reflect on just how good HSC will be this season.

Congrats to the ODAC on the sweep during the first week of play. Don't know if that has ever happened in the past, but a great way for the ODAC teams to start the season.

tfa, I can tell you it hasn't happened in the previous 5 seasons (2006-10).

Congrats ... the Quakers will not go defeated this year !!! Sounds like the new coach is already making a difference @ GC.
I'll see you in Greensboro whenever the Tigers come to town.

Where were you week 1 of the pick 'em? Sizing up the competition before you jump in? :-)

Thanks, tfa.  Guilford hadn't won since the Catholic game in early November 2009!  When I was an undergrad, we were 3-36 including 2 winless seasons and a 32-game losing streak ... it's time to stop the insanity!  By the way, for those hoping to jump on with both feet, I was on the soccer team and not the football team.  lol  I agree, the new coach is already starting to make a difference ... you could see it in preseason practices and pregame enthusiam.  Regarding the HSC game on Oct. 29, I have to attend a 4:30 wedding that day.  If I make it to the game at all, it will only be for an hour or so.  Weddings during football season - blasphemy!  That's what the entire month of June is for ... right!?  :)

Glad for you Hasa. You have been the Job of the football world with flies and pestilence frogs, locust, shouldering the burden of the never ending "sisyphen" task of promoting Quaker football, trying to unravel the ever tightening "gorgian knot" the man who......well you get it.  ;)

I think they may get MU this week too

I have a nephew getting married that day and I'll be at the game supporting my Tigers and my son.
So step it up, unless it's your wedding !!!!!!
