Should be a great between RMC and BC on Saturday. The RMC O-Line has played great and I don't see BC being able to put any pressure on the QB.  RMC should be able to march down the field and win by at least 14.

After being smitted by beau coup snow and no power up here I just got to a computer about 3 hours ago. I did not even get to see a game this weekend but it was quiet.

Your boys did great. I guess they finally just gave the starting QB the needle and got him back out there.  ;) 7 TDs. Woo Hoo. I also almost completed POLYBIUS' History of the Punic Wars. Pretty exciting huh?

The EH Bees  let me down.....Anything that flys and stings you is bad....bad boys :)

Yeah, this is the second time in recent memory the Quakes have hung 49 on the Tigers ... and still lost! What, you have to play defense also?!  lol  It is encouraging to get the presumed starting QB back on the field.  Right now, the Quakers are starting 17 freshmen and sophomores on both sides of the ball.  If the coaches can get these guys in the weight room over the off-season, I think we can build something.  I'm encouraged.  Heard about the the blizzard of October 2011 - who would have guessed it?  Yep, a good time to catch up on your reading.  :)

I once heard Boots Donnelly of Austin Peay State fame say "for every frosh you start you will lose a game" or words to that effect. Or it could have been me laying in a ditch (intoxicated) outside NATO HQ's in Brussles in 95. Sort of like those Stone Station fanatics. Can't remember but sounds good.

However; they will be 17 seniors on both sides of the ball one day....

W&L's Rob Look wins the ODAC defensive player of the week. Rob Look and Charlie Westfal for offense have both won the award twice this season, including sweeping the awards 2 weeks ago. The H-SC fans will have to forgive me if I'm pulling for them to repeat that accomplish this weekend in their last career ODAC game.

Congrats also to Kirk Rohle picking up the offensive award for H-SC this weekend. Again, forgive me if I don't hope he can make it two in a row!

*** Edited for grammar. It was really bothering me...

Good post; I hope both W&L and HSC play the best game possible. The key will be which HSC defense shows up; the one that allowed 14 points against Bridgewater or the one that gave up 49 to Guilford. There is a world of difference in those two defenses.

Hope the game is championship caliber; unlike last year when HSC had 5 turnovers. Just never was too exciting to watch.

IF HSC can protect the ball and the right defense shows up this has the potential to be a really good football game.

Go Tigers !!!!!

How often does a college QB throw for seven TD's in a game against a quality opponent and NOT be chosen as his conference's Offensive Player of the Week?  :)

I wondered the same thing. However, after my big praise of Bridgewater's back Carter a week ago I went and checked the records. There wasn't a single offensive player of the week from a team in a losing effort this year. Further, I think there was only one defensive pow from a losing effort:

Tyler Houk from E&H on 10/9. he had 15 tackles against W&L as well as an interception in E&H's endzone that really kept the game close.

Probably because they have wood for GC-Q. Unbelievable if he did not get it.  7 TDs in a Pop Warner would get noticed before the Quakes. I have no beef either way but they will have to whack Ohio State to get noticed. Then maybe

I realize the Quakers did not win the game ... and I know how the world works, but it's "OFFENSIVE" Player of the Week.  Zac Halbert doesn't play Defense, so he's not responsible for HSC's scores unless he throws a pick six or fumbles.  As you know, abnrgr, there's a joke at Guilford that we get "ODAC'ed" sometimes because we're not a Virginia-based school.  I saw what "appeared" to be that in several soccer games this year also.  Goals called back due to bogus off-sides calls and the like.  It's frustrating for the players, the coaches and the fans.  I may be wrong, of course, and I realize I want to root for the Quakers, but I also pride myself on seeing both sides of the picture.  I sincerely think Guilford gets overlooked sometimes and the tie goes to the runner (read Virginia school).

Not to be a downer but do you guys really think in the D3 landscape that all 17 will be there by the time that they are seniors?

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see that because it would add more parity to the ODAC but I can remember reporting as a freshman to E&H and there was over 100 freshmen.  On senior day there was 17 of us who walked the line and that included 2 kids who transferred in.

No, we know all 17 won't be there as seniors.  I do, however, hope we can begin to improve the retention percentages.  I think the key to most successful teams is to have more experienced players.  You can't be constantly reloading every year.  Some years, Guilford's probaly had less than ten seniors and that makes it difficult to compete.

Wasper is correct statistically. Injuries, grades, incoming talent with a step faster, someone quitting, parachute fails to open, but if you hang on to half that crew which is plausible then you have a core. I obviously was trying to look at the bright side. That is out of character for me as I always expect the worse.

(Not to change the subejct or go off on a tangent (and I will due to ADS  ;)) but the football officials during the 4 years I watched them looked like their last game was in a Thursday night game with the HS JV. They were HORRIBLE)

Back to my original thought

That's why when Rangers try to firgure out the formula for how much C-4 to smoke something with we use the formula "P".
